Introduction:

The word leisure derives from the latin LICERE meaning to be permitted and is defined in the dictionary

as free, unoccupied time during which a person may indulge in rest, recreation and the like.

An amusement or recreation park is the modern form of entertainment in this age of technological

advancement. The entertainment industry has grown by leaps and round in the last few decades. The success

and popularity of Disney land in America and essel-world in India clearly indicates the fascination of people

towards this modern form of entertainment over the more conventional ones.

In an amusement park one can experience the latest technology in a lighter mood. Here the technology is

used for entertainment and recreation rather than for more serious work. Here one can experience thrill of the

unexpected things. The earlier means of recreations were fairs, dance festivals etc.

Aim & Objectives :

Amusement park are recreational facilities that offer a varied range of entertainment options ranging from

theme parks to spine chilling roller coaster, 3D theater to giant wheel, in a cluster format. These parks provideone-stop-shop leisure and entertainment solutions for the entire family at one place and are a key source of

tourist attraction (domestic and foreign) and revenue generation for the state. The demand for entertainment optionssuch as amusement parks, I-max, shopping malls are rapidly increasing across the country. The key demand drivers

for the segments are rising base of middle class, increasing disposable income, changing lifestyle, cultural shift &

increasing emphasis to lead a holistic life with a balance of work & leisure.Realizing the increasing demand for high and leisure facilities, the govt. of MP proposes to establish a

modern fantasy world in the state. Unlike the makeshift carnival or temporary amusement facility, the proposed park

would be a permanent facility. It would encompass a geographic collection of various fun-filled & exciting range of

entertainment options at a single location with access throughout the year. The park would have customized

recreation avenues for individual age group such as kids corner and a range of generic entertainment facilities for

all. Thus it would cater to the requirement of all age individuals from children to adults.

Site:The site would be established at Sehore. Located at Bhopal Indore highway, 39 km from the state capital Bhopal, it

provides an ideal location for the project.

Proximity with the state capital would position it as a key weekend gateway for people

residing in Bhopal Misrod and other nearby towns.

The park would be established on 25 acres of land and would have

Project Rationale:

Recreation industry is one of the most exciting sectors in India. At present there are around 200 family

entertainment centers in the country and the no. is expected to grow to 400 in the next couple of years. These

centers contribute nearly 40% of the total leisure industry turnover.

Fuelled by increasing prosperity, the demand for quality entertainment facilities is rapidly increasing in

MP and thus the state is ranked at the top among the fastest moving states in the country. The entertainment

hub would increase the intra state tourism and it would be an added attraction for tourist visiting the state for

various purposes such as pilgrimage, echo, adventure tourism etc.

Scope & limitation:

The project includes a developing a layout for the whole complex,

which would be dynamic in nature as such, projects constantly keeps

on growing and changing due to the changes and new inventions in

technology.

The estimated cost for the proposed facility is around USD 3.3 million or INR 15 crores .

The work shall be performed under the guide, studying existing parks, the theme on which other park is based

on, a survey talking to the person related to management and its administration, thus going through books

materials available on related topic.
