Last Sunday, our dear brother Don Myers
announced that he would be stepping
down as the preacher at Elmore due to
heath challenges. Elmore has been
blessed with Don, Judy and Jordan being
a part of our family since 2010. Please
join us on 29 March for a fellowship meal
following morning service to show appre-
ciation to the Myers family for their ser-
vice. We are so thankful they plan to
continue to stay at Elmore to serve.

Acts 2:44 “And all who
believed were together
and had all things in
common.”
This is an opportunity to share what you no longer need and to
find things that you can use. It is especially for the community and
those in need. If you know of a family who could benefit, please let
them know ahead of time so they can come.
Please start bringing your clothes, household goods, sheets,
dishes, etc. and put them in the Ladies’ Mission room at the back
of the Fellowship Hall. We also ask that you mark it as being for
the Swap Meet.
There is a special need for household items such as dishes,
lamps, sheets, towels, etc. If you have furniture to donate, Wynona
will meet you at the building to store them in the sheds behind the
church.

March 12th 2020
Dear Brethren,
Thank you so much for your continued
support, encouragement and prayers. I
appreciate your prayers for my wife. She
continues to suffer from allergies. She is allergic to something that the
doctor's have yet to detect. February was a good month, I was blessed
to travel to Red Boiling Springs Tennessee for the weekend of the 16th.
It was a blessing to spend time with the Brethren.
I shared with them the report of the last two trips to China, and an up-
date from the Brethren on the Virus in China and Inner Mongolia. The
good news is, that as far as we know, the brethren have not come
down with the virus. On Monday evening (the 17th) I met with Brother
Don Napier and the Elder at the Crossville Church of Christ. The Cross-
ville Congregation has sent money to purchase Bibles in China and
Inner Mongolia. I was blessed to meet three of the Elders and Brother
Napier, and give them a report and update. On Tuesday, I traveled to
Kodak Tennessee to meet a young man, who ask me to come and
study with him and his wife. It was a good meeting. On the 21st, I trav-
eled to Deatsville Alabama to meet with the Elmore Church of Christ
Elders. I was blessed to stay with Brother Don and Sister Judy Myers
and their son Jordan. I gave the Congregation a report on the last two
China trips and an update on how the virus may change this years trav-
el. It was such a blessing for me to spend time with Brother Don and
the Elders. The weeks of travel allowed me to spend time with men who
love the Lord and souls. We are the Lord's foot soldiers. Everyday we
have opportunities to tell someone about Jesus or to tell them where
they can study lessons, that will teach them about Jesus. (Walmart,
Wendy's, McDonalds, and many other places).
Think about This!!!! The Virus kills less that one percent. Sin kills 100
percent. We have good news for those in sin. A Sure Cure!!!
We had one of the members who attended Ben Creek to pass away
this month. Most of the 18 members are well up in age. People are still
moving away to find work. Thanks for your prayers for the Congrega-
tion.
The daily Bible Lessons are going well. I am now sending lessons out
on 7 pages. The lessons go into different countries daily. I have added
pages to allow me to add more students. Face Book only allows you to
have so many people on your guest list. Therefore, I've added more
pages. This allows me to reach out to many more people. Please pray
for this work.
Again, Thanks so much for allowing me to be your Fellow servant in the
greatest work on earth.
Your Brother In Christ Jesus

April Smith won a medal in the basketball
tournament. She was a valued player on
her basketball team and she is a much val-
ued player here at Elmore!
Great job April!

NO to gambling in AL!
Last year, Don Myers preached on the huge spiritual
and moral consequences of gambling at Elmore. In
past years, thanks to you and other Christians across
the state speaking out on this issue to our state legis-
lators we have stopped those who want to pass legis-
lation on gambling in the state. We have to keep up
the fight this year as well! This past week a bill was
introduced into the AL legislature to propose in-
creased gambling in our state.
In addition to the negative spiritual and moral conse-
quences, there is a huge physical cost to gambling
that far exceeds any revenue the state would receive.
“Government-sanctioned gambling incurs major so-
cial costs that end up footed by all taxpayers. In addi-
tion to targeting and exploiting the financially desper-
ate and cultivating addiction, government-sanctioned
gambling leads to increases in rates of personal bank-
ruptcy and provides new avenues for crime and abuse
and money laundering.”

Jack Carlisle spoke last Sun-
day evening on the subject of
forgiveness. Great job Jack
and an uplifting
sermon!
Sister Ella McClain, [mother of Bill McClain (Jr)], left this life peacefully this past Wednesday night, with her family by her side. We weep and rejoice knowing that her family, both physical and Spiritual, will miss her here, her home in heaven is far sweeter! Her time as a Christian and extensive work as a Sojourner will impact many for years to come. At the time of compos-ing this bulletin, the funeral arrangements were uncertain. Please pray for this family.
