FAMILY PICTURES CLASS BOOK: REQUIREMENTS FOR EACH PAGE We will be creating a class book inspired by Family Pictures/Cuadros de Familia by Carmen Lomas Garza. Each of you will create three pages for the book. The requirements for the pages are as follows: First Page Something special you do with your family a) Write at least one paragraph describing a memorable family activity (neatly handwritten). b) Include a drawing, painting, collage, photograph, or a picture cut out of a magazine or printed from the Internet to go with the text on half of the page. Second Page A map and basic information of a country where your family has roots a) Use the Internet and a word processing program. b) Include a map of the country. c) Include at least five basic facts about the country. d) At the bottom of the page, write “Websites consulted:” followed by the websites you used to get the information. e) Save all of your work on the computer in case you need to make changes later. Third Page A recipe for a special family dish (You can ask a family member for help with this.) a) Write or type the name of the dish and the recipe neatly and clearly. b) Include a drawing, painting, collage, photograph, or a picture cut out of a magazine or printed from the Internet to go with the text on half of the page.
