We had a great weekend with the Kindergarten through 2nd grade kids at Intro to Camping. John Hill was a terrific camp pastor, Jessica Moravec and I led the music for worship. We made instruments, squished some bugs, climbed down a mountain, stayed up late, had fun and learned more about God. Many came for their first time and about 5 kids will be promoting up to Children’s Camp next year to enjoy 5 days at camp! VBS starts this Sunday. We desperately need some people to volunteer to drop off some sides and desserts for the workers. We feed all the workers and workers kids every day of VBS. If you can help in any way, please sign up today! It’s still not too late to help with VBS and I will also need some extra help for Thursday’s Family Night, which ends with a carnival in the parking lot. I will be leaving for my sister’s wedding Friday morning, and clean up on the last night can be a bear without some help. Please contact me if you have any time to spare. Children’s Camp (3rd-5th grade) will follow the week after VBS, so please be in prayer as we take our biggest group yet! I look forward to how God will speak to our kids during this time away, and how relationships are strengthened. So, we have an exciting couple of weeks! Pray, pray, pray and be a part of it! Our next Sizzling Summer Night will be July 5 at South Campus – It’s Grill Cookoff Night! Gentlemen, this is your chance to show off your grill skills! Cooking starts at 5 pm, with judging and dinner served at 6, and Family games to follow. Not a grillmaster? We need sides and desserts as well!

In  conjunction  with  our  VBS  Mission  Project,  we  will  be  collecting  used  and  new  flip  flops,  tennis  shoes,  work  shoes/boots,  socks,  jeans,  t-­‐shirts,  and  underwear  to  send  to  Beautiful  Feet  Homeless  Mission  in  Fort  Worth,  TX.    Collection  boxes  are  located  in  the  foyer.    Please  have  your  items  here  by  Sunday,  July  12.
