A change in latitude leads to Manuel Antonio National Park, a small park but one of the most beautiful and popular. Several trails lead through dense jungle to hidden coves and magnificent views to the sea and beaches.

Assistance at the Juan Santamaria International Airport and immigration procedures.

Upon meeting with a representative of TAM Travel, who will bid you a warm welcome, you will receive a package with useful information along with a country map and a booklet with general information. Then the family will have time at leisure.

The new day brings the family the lovely opportunity to recreate together, while exploring the wonders of the tropical forest, during a custom walk through the nature reserve of 500 acre.

Undoubtedly, it is a unique experience that will allow the whole family to learn about the natural history and the secrets of plants and animals that inhabit the reserve, such as howler monkeys, toucans, frogs and other species.

Departure from Sarapiqui towards La Fortuna de San Carlos region that comprises the impressive Arenal volcano.

This beautiful area of La Fortuna is literally the entrance to the Arenal that offers a spectacular view of the volcano and greets visitors with the traditional hospitality of its people in a majestic environment that is home to lush nature and indulging sources of hot springs.

Afternoon is free for the family to relax and enjoy the pristine thermal waters of Kioro.

Arenal Kioro Suites & Spa

Arenal Kioro is located in front of the majestic Arenal Volcano on a 27-acre of undulating land thus providing amazing panoramic views to the volcano from every room. After a lively walk through the national park, the comforting hot springs provide family with additional relaxation at Kalambu theme park for children and adults.

Walk along trails in Arenal Volcano National Park

During this walk along the trails of the Arenal Volcano National Park, you will enter in the tropical forest and areas that once were devastated by the fury of the volcano. During the tour, you can observe variety of flora and wildlife of the area. The journey will take you to the “Lava Flows of 1992”, a large accumulation of volcanic material ejected from the crater during a period of great activity that year.

This is a unique attraction of its kind in the area near the Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna, ideal for sharing in family the fun in the fabulous waterslides: the Cyclone, the Tornado or the Avalanche of 10.50 meters high and the giant Mammoth with a height of 12.60 m. The kids will delight in the interactive area designed especially for them. The park is surrounded by the lush vegetation of the region and has large green areas for leisure visitors.

This day will be full of different, but not less, rewarding and memorable events and impressions, starting with the transfer from Fortuna de San Carlos to the Monteverde Cloud Forest.

Monteverde has earned its reputation as one of the most prominent wildlife shrines near the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Biological Reserve. It extends to both the Caribbean and Pacific sides, with temperature and humidity gradients that change dramatically over relatively short distances. People enjoy the fresh air, the sounds of the jungle, and the utterly enlivening experience.

The family should get ready to see the beauty of Monteverde with its unique flora and fauna. In addition, they can share the sensations of the palate, when tasting the delicious typical and traditional cheese Monteverde.

Selvatura Hanging Bridges

The hanging bridges are an excellent choice to appreciate the beauty of the forest of Monteverde. During a 3-km tour visitors, will pass by bridges in the treetops, over heights ranging from 12 to 60 meters. The length of the bridges is in a range of 50 meters, the shortest, up to 150 meters the longest. It is important to note, that all bridges in Selvatura have a width of 5 feet (1.5 m), allowing them a maximum capacity of 80 people per bridge. This makes it the longest and strongest system of suspension bridges in the area of Monteverde. This activity can be done by all family members, from children to the elderly. The route usually takes between 1 1/2 and 2 hours. The trip concludes with a visit to Selvatura Butterfly Garden and the Hummingbird Garden.

This day is to go from Monteverde onto the Pacific coast and for visiting the Manuel Antonio National Park, one of the most famous in Costa Rica because of its variety of species of flora and fauna. The park has 3 different levels of trails ranging from flat to steep.

On this tour, visitors can watch sloths, birds and reptiles as well as orchids, butterflies and tropical trees.The path is flat and picturesque and twists through the park on a 2-km walk.

Costa Rican typical cuisine cooking lessons

Another gratifying occasion for the family to get riunited and create beloved memories! A certified guide will accompany the group on the way to the restaurant, where they will enjoy a unique cuisine. Participants will be brought specifically to the kitchen; there, the chef will guide you through a lesson on Costa Rican cuisine, with the possibility of preparing some of the many dishes. Each participant will live the experience of being the chef for a day.

The morning is at leisure for guests to revel in the beach and energize, previous to the transfer tour towards the Central Valley region.

Rest of the night at leisure; time to prepare luggage for the return back home.

According to the international airport requirements, all passengers must be at the airport at least 2 hours before flight departure time for safety and check-in procedures.

Because the breach of these laws is punishable by the Costa Rican Law, TAM Travel Corporation will revoke the service contract that had been subscribed with any company or person that somehow consents, provides or encourages activities that contravene said legislation.
