Bad Example, Written Down for Our Instruction

Hosea 8-13

1 Corinthians 10:10 nor grumble, as some of them did and

were destroyed by the Destroyer. 11 Now these things

happened to them as an example, but they were written

down for our instruction, on whom the end of the ages has

come.

ROOTED Summer Trip Over the last few weeks, Crosspointe members have probably received a prayer and fundraising letter from a student who is hoping to go to Costa Rica this summer on a missions trip. If you have received a letter, we would humbly ask that you be praying for our students in several ways. Please pray they continue to grow and stay strong spiritually as they finish the school year, that funds will come in, and that our students will see the work missionaries do and be humbled to influence their own communities in a similar way. If you haven't received a letter but would be interested in donating to the trip, you can write a check to Crosspointe with “Costa Rica” in the memo line. Thank you for your prayer and support.

Easter Invitation Postcards Now Available! Crosspointe will offer a Good Friday service starting at 7 p.m. and two services on Easter Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Invitation postcards

are available at Guest Services. If you would like to have yours mailed, simply fill out the address and return them to the church office to be posted and mailed for you.

Summer Day Camp Grosse Pointe Nursery School is now enrolling for Summer Camp programs for children age 2 1/2 through 10 years old. Contact the GPNS office at 313.881.3460 for details. Just a reminder, C3 members enjoy a tuition discount.

Family Mission Trip The Family Mission Team, consisting of over 60 people, will be leaving this week to help other families in need. Our team has learned that one of the families they will

be serving during the mission trip are grandparents raising their three grandchildren who have recently lost everything. The team will be moving them into a new living space while they are there. Thank you for your generous donations and please be in prayer for the team and for the families they are helping.

Save the Date—IYM Retreat Incarcerated Youth Ministries (IYM) will host two one-day outreach events this summer on August 26 and October 14. Volunteers are needed to work with residents for both events. Please contact the office at 313.881.3343 to sign-up.

Save the Date—Live Free Planning has begun for the Live Free Outreach event. Prayerfully consider serving in this event July 21-23.
