Family JOKER Schladming

With the Family JOKER the tourist office of Schladming – together with its partners – offers a diversified schedule for the whole week. With pony rides, archery, kids’ carpentry, trial course in rock climbing, adventure hike or kids’ afternoon there is a lot of activity and fun!

To participate in the Family JOKER activities an early regis-tration with the tourist office Schladming is crucial – please check the detailed registration information at each item. If you already registered for a programme and are not able to attend, please let us know as well, so other kids get the chance to attend! Note: programme language is German!

Wild Wild West, Seiterhof

In the afternoon we meet at the fireplace, where you test your skills at hurling horseshoes and the lasso, and with bow and arrow. In between you also get the chance to improve your horseback riding skills.

Kids‘ Afternoon, Waldhäuslalm

The big kids’ afternoon takes place at Waldhäuslalm in Unter-tal valley. Baking, playing games, face painting – that is only some of the things we experience at the kids’ afternoon.

Trial Course in Rock Climbing, Gasthaus Weisse Wand

Roped up and well protected with helmet and belt you climb up the rocks and take your first steps on the rock. Our motto “rock climbing learned easily”.

Our alternative for bad weather (in July and August): After notification by phone we meet at Volksschule Haus (i.e. the primary school of Haus with the ad-dress Schulgasse 150 in 8967 Haus im Ennstal), where we can use the indoor climbing wall.

Family Adventure Hike

From Eschachalm we hike to picturesque Lake Duisitzkar. The medium hike along a forest lane and/or a hiking trail has a distance of approx. 3 kms and an elevation gain of 450 m – participants should be able to hike this distance in a maximum of 2 hours. At the lake there are two huts which offer refresh-ments: Fahrlechhütte and Duisitzkarseehütte. Once at the lake we collect firewood and cones for our campfire where we fry sausages. Later we have fun in nature and you will use natural materials to create a piece of natural art together with your family. The way back to Eschachalm is made with the group or individually. ATTENTION: dogs are not allowed in the entire valley head of Obertal

Kids‘ Atelier

Times are colourful at the kids‘ atelier. With Marlene you experiment with shapes and colours and get creative together. Colourful pieces of art come into being, which you take home as a souvenir from your holiday. Hours of creativity and the enjoyment of creating something together are waiting for you. From the idea to first sketches to the finished work of art. Little artists getting big.

Archery for kids

First you are briefed by an expert at the training area and then range the woods where you find 3-D representations of rabbit, deer and bear. Besides the minimum age, kids should be able to draw a sport bow.

A small paradise - without borders! Experience the adventure of being on a farm with all your senses. The animals want to get to know you, and you can pet and feed them. The mystic Dwarf Forest

Together we explore the dwarf forest around the Leitnerhof farm and get creative with moss, tree branches, cones, lichens and more. We collect those things while walking through the forest and eventually we build small, cosy houses for the “spirits of the wood” out of it. Be creative and help the dwarf village come to life!
