Where Leaders Come to Grow
WELCOME!FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE NAPERVILLE JAYCEES Having been born and raised in Naperville, I have fond, vivid memories of Labor Day Weekend. In a flash I can taste Bojo’s Elephant Ears, I can feel the heat
from the Eagle Street asphalt while standing in line for The Zipper, and I can still sense the itch of a wool marching band uniform during the Labor Day Parade. Just the thought of that last wistful whistle at Centennial Beach brings a tear to my eye.
With those recollections in mind, I humbly welcome you to the 2018 Naperville Jaycees’ Last Fling. The Last Fling is not only our largest fundraiser, but a community event made possible by the efforts of Executive Directors Cori Cozort and James Groat, their talented Executive Committee, a host of generous sponsors, scores of volunteers, and dedicated public servants from all ranks in the City of Naperville. For the last year, we have worked diligently to ensure that generations of Napervillians have the opportunity to make mirth and memories throughout the weekend.
The Last Fling exemplifies the Jaycees’ traditions of personal development through meaningful service, and community development through impactful projects. Anyone wanting to learn more about our organization is encouraged to visit us the second Tuesday of every month at the Judd Kendall VFW at 7:30 pm.
Sincerely,
Matthew DingeldeinPresident, 2018Naperville Jaycees

DEAR RESIDENTS & VISITORS:Welcome to the 2018 Last Fling!
Naperville’s exciting end-of-summer tradition is a chance to say farewell to the long, lazy days of summer with music, food and family fun that we look forward to all year long.
Over the years, the Naperville Jaycees have grown Last Fling into a festival that has a little something for everyone. Spend the day this year with your kids at Family Fun Land before heading over to the carnival. There’s also the Frank E’s Fling Mile, where you can test your running speed against Last Fling’s very own mascot Frank E. Fling. There’s events and contests galore, like senior bingo, eating contests, an escape room, and more! And we can’t forget the popular Labor Day parade, which brings everyone together to celebrate the groups that make our community what it is.
On behalf of the City Council and the entire community, thank you to the Jaycees for putting on another event sure to amaze, and a big thanks to YOU for enjoying the Last Fling and helping to make Naperville an even stronger community. When you support Last Fling and the Jaycees, you’re supporting their efforts to give back to our community’s not-for-profit groups and the people they serve.
Enjoy Last Fling – Naperville’s beloved celebration of family and community. I can’t wait to see you there!
Sincerely,
Steve ChiricoMayor, City of Naperville

We Believe:
That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;
That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;
That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;
That government should be of laws rather than of men;
That earth’s great treasure lies in human personality;
And that service to humanity is the best work of life.
