2020 CENSUS QUILT

In Spring 2019, representatives from the Census Bureau asked if KEHA would create a quilt including a square made by each of

Kentucky’s 120 counties for use in promoting the 2020 census. This project

provided KEHA with an opportunity to showcase the organization’s tenets of

education, leadership, and service. The quilt is also a reminder to those who view it that

every individual in every county counts.

The quilt was on display at the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, KY from September

16-21, 2019. Following that, the quilt will tourKentucky through a partnership between the

Census Bureau and the Kentucky Department of Libraries and Archives. A

schedule for this tour is being developed by KEHA and will be shared when finalized. Can you find the Daviess County square?

TRINITY HOMEMAKER CLUB The new Trinity Homemakers Club got off

to a great start with 10 in attendance. Trinity Homemakers is a

traditional club consisting of fellowship, a business meeting, homemaker's lesson and

a craft activity or work on an identified project. The club will seek future projects

that will serve the community. September's craft was a sachet for clothing drawers

using vintage handkerchiefs and dried rose petals or dried lavender. Trinity Homemakers meets the second

Wednesday of the month. The next meeting will be on October 9, 2019 at 2:00pm. The club meets in the fellowship hall of Trinity United Methodist Church, located at 2815 Old Hartford Road, Owensboro, Kentucky.

Please note the time change; Trinity Homemaker Club will now meet at 2 p.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
