Crazy, wild kids. Cranky husband?

Homey homes littered with kid stuff.  Everywhere.

Those are things that make up your life right now(I know, I’ve been there too).  

You’re a busy mom with a hectic schedule, alwaystrying to be present and available for yourchildren and spouse.  The thought ofwrangling down your little monsters to sitstill for pictures makes you hit the winefridge.  

And your husband?  He’ll just roll his eyes.  

But you really want some great pictures. 

You have a million and one on your phone andyou’re not in any of them. Well, except for thoseselfies obviously, the ones with the bunny earsand a cartoon tongue sticking out of your mouth. 

You’re suddenly worried your kids are going toremember you as a rabbit. 

Wine fridge.  Start googling local photographers.

That’s where I come in.

It's important to me to photograph parents with their children and their connections witheach other.   Life is precious and not guaranteed, so I want you to have gorgeousphotographs together, now.

I met my hubby when I was 17 and we’ve been stuck together in this crazy life ever since. We have 2 kids who were just babies yesterday and suddenly are 17 and 13.  Everyone wasright, it passed WAY.TOO.FAST! Now, hanging out without me is not so cool, and giving mekisses and hugs is "embarrassing". Good thing I have pictures :)

We also have a kitty, Hunter, who is our obsession. We tell him he is over-loved. Is that athing? He thinks so. He prefers to be loved from afar - we love to cuddle and kiss him...

When I’m not working you’ll find me singing really loudly (and terribly) to my Acoustic Coversplaylist on Spotify, talking to…ughhhhh, I mean watering my million plants, and sobbing like ababy while watching This Is Us or some cheesy love story.

Family Sessions are SO RELAXED!Seriously, you don't need to be stressedor anxious with me ever.

I won’t ask your kids to sit still and posefor the camera, or say cheese. I wantthem interacting with you, not me.

Before your session we’ll talk a litleabout what you want to rememberabout your kids right now.

Is it the way they play with your earwhen you cuddle, or the crazy faces theymake when they’re being silly or howhysterical they think it is to run aroundwith underwear on their head...

Whatever those special things are foryour family, we’re going to turn thosebeautiful moments into photographsyou can keep forever.

What toexpect

Let's hang out, relax, and take someamazing photos.

If you've never been professionally photographedbefore, don't worry - it's going to be relaxed andyou won't need to worry about anything.

I'll show up at your home, take a quick lookaround to find the best light, chat with the kidsand we'll get started.

I won't fully pose you, but I will offer a lot ofguidance during your session, helping to achievethose beautiful, natural moments you've seen inmy work. There won't be anything awkward orstiff, instead it'll just be about your family having agreat time together.

I have been doing this a long time and I know justhow to position you and how to angle myselftocreate the most beautiful images of you.

I understand how intimidating it can be to be infront of the camera, so instead of focusing on me,you'll be doing activities with your children andspouse. You might even forget I'm there.

Sessions are about 90 minutes, but I'll stay until Iknow I have an amazing set of images for you.

Hopefully, when you see your images, you'll needa tissue. I want you to be thrilled with your pictures.

You LOVE hanging out and PLAYINGwith your children, having danceparties, baking cookies, and acting likeyou too are a 5 year old. Life's tooshort. Especially the childhood part.

You want pictures that capture yourkid’s personalities – not just their faces.

You want a collection of images that tellyour family’s story.

You prefer a posed image witheveryone smiling and looking at thecamera.

You like studio-style images with props(like babies in baskets).

You get stressed if your kids get dirtyand don’t behave.

You only want 1 or 2 images.

I'm going to be completely honest with you so that I don't waste your time. It's important that youhire the best photographer for your family and I'm NOT the right photographer for everyone.

1 - I am human before anything else. Ibelieve in love, kindness and giving mybest, always. I'm not here to sell you, Iam here to create something you adore.

2 - I guarantee you will love yourimages. I want you to be so moved whenyou see them that you have tears in youreyes. If you aren't thrilled with yourimages, don't purchase them. I will comeback and do a reshoot for your family atno additional charge. I really believe in mywork and I want every family I work with tohave something beautiful.

3 - I come to you for the session, andcreate images that are personal,intimate, and unique to your family.

4 - Because of my own experiencesand family, I understand howimportant these photographs will beto you. I know first-hand how preciouslife is, and how important it is to hold ontothose we love. These photos aremeaningful for you, and for your childrenand I don't take that lightly.

5 - You get my undivided attention onthe day of your session. I only scheduleone session on any given day so if youneed extra time or something doesn't goas planned, I'm not in a hurry, I'm all yours.

BOOKING YOUR SESSION I’ll send you the sessionbooking form. You’ll fill it out along with the contractand pay the retainer. It’s all done online, and only takesa few minutes.

PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION As soon as you’vebooked, expect an email with a link to your privateClient Portal. This is where you can access all theinformation about your session, including ideas aboutwhat to wear and tips for preparing for your session.

If you’d like to chat, I am always available to set up atime for a phone or FaceTime consultation. You canalso text or email me.

THE WEEK BEFORE YOUR SESSION Expect anemail/text from me to re-confirm your session. Ask meall your last minute questions!

THE DAY OF YOUR SESSION I’m going to arrive atyour home/location with my camera in hand. I usuallylike to take a quick tour of your home to get ideasflowing and to see which areas would be the best toshoot in. I will take a few minutes to talk to yourchildren and try to win them over!

THREE WEEKS FOLLOWING YOUR SESSION Yourimages will be ready! You'll receive a link to yourprivate gallery with your slideshow. Once you makeyour final payment you'll be able to share anddownload your images!

PRINT YOUR PICTURES From right within your gallery,you will be able to order beautiful professional prints,albums and wall art of your favorite images. You canalso download your images to print them at your ownlab (I do recommend using the online pro lab). Youronline gallery is available for 30 days.

The Process

The last thing you want is for your images to situntouched on your computer.

After your session, I’m available to design acustom wall gallery or album for you. I’ll walk youthrough the simple steps, and then get todesigning something perfect for your home.

You get to be involved in the process so that theend result is something you love. Please don't cryon the prints tho, k? :)

You'll also have access to professional prints rightfrom your online gallery.

FAQ

My house doesn't look like it came out of a magazine.The focus of the images is your family and your connections with eachother. It doesn't matter if your home isn't perfect.

Where will my session take place?Your session can take place at home or any other location you'd like.We can brainstorm an idea together. Summer outdoor sessions takeplace in the evening, right before sunset.

How long is the session?Session take between 30-90 minutes depending the type of sessionyou selected, however you should block off at least one extra hourincase of meltdowns, wardrobe malfunctions, or hungry babies orother child-induced mishaps.

My children are monsters.Kids, by nature, are messy and chaotic and real. That is exactly what Iwant to capture. Don’t worry about it. Trust me. Your session is notthe best time to try to be controlling and disiplining your kids. Just letthem have fun and play with them! That’s why this type ofphotography is so great!

Seriously, don't worry.

My husband is very grumpy.You're on your own for this one...haha, seriously, this isn't going to bea high-pressure look-at-the-camera-and-be-perfect kinda shoot.He'll be fine as long as he can play with the kids and have fun doing it.

Most husbands dread photo sessions but always tell me it wasn't sobad after all and are willing to do it again once they see how pressurefree it is!
