From the desk of the General Secretary
Dearly Beloved,
Wishing you all a very blessed and fruitful New Year
2021. As we prayerfully step into this New Year, each one
of us has a unique opportunity to partner with the totally
rewarding and productive labour which is well pleasing to
our Master. As we are called to be a blessing to the people
around us, let us continue to be the salt of the earth and the
light of the world and bless our fellow beings in all practical
ways possible.
I wish and pray that the upcoming year will enable us
to bear lasting fruits which would go on to yield rich
dividends in His heavenly kingdom.
As regards Stewards Association in India (SAI) Pilot
Program during these Covid 19 pandemic times, Operation
Hunger has reached many thousands of people across
India, delivering food, provisions, and essential supplies.
Our mission is to deliver aid to desperately poor and needy
people who are not sure of how to find their next meal.
More than
30,000
Families have Received Monthly Food, Provisions and Essentials
About
2000
Families
Assisted with Medical Expenses, Education
Needs, Housing, and Covid Expenses
24 States
Reached with Essential Aid
More than nine months have passed since our first
distribution drive and it thrills our hearts to see God's
people step up in myriad ways to help others in the family
of God.
People from all walks of life are giving generously to
support friends and neighbors in need. The spirit and
mission of Operation Hunger continue to spread. Indeed,
God is doing "so much more than all we ask or imagine."
Our hearts are encouraged by the many who have joined
with us to feed the hungry and provide for the basic
needs of the poor.
In this update, we would also like to focus on to some of our Hospitals and Medical
Programs and their work in these challenging times.
Medical & Healthcare Needs
The COVID-19 pandemic has placed a heavy burden on our hospitals and other medical
facilities, especially in rural areas. Doctors, Nurses, and Healthcare Workers continue to
serve their local communities with selfless zeal, despite the risks associated with this
illness.
Improving community health remains a key focus of our hospitals in Narsapur and
Ambajipeta in Andhra Pradesh and Sankeshwar in Karnataka. We see a growing need
for qualified and committed Doctors, other medical and non-medical staff as well as the
latest in diagnostic and medical equipments.
Our hospitals and medical programs need urgent
support during these unprecedented times to
meet the rising patient load that is expected to
double in the coming months.
God has established our HIV and Leprosy
Hospitals as beacons of hope in the local
community. They play a vital role by caring for
those who are often marginalized and ostracized,
sometimes by their own families.
Your involvement in supporting Medical Work in
remote parts of our Country helps us bring hope
and healing to those who need it most.
Every day, we are
thrilled to hear of
Individuals,
Communities and
Assemblies
reaching out to help
the needy among
them.
"When many of our Assemblies
and fellow brethren contributed to
Stewards Care which catered to a
portion of our needs, we have
experienced the abundance of
our Lord's provisions to the point
where we needed no more"
Finally brethren, it is our ardent promise to all our dear Brothers and Sisters that we will
be with you, as a constant companion in your pain and need and fulfill the responsibility
which the Lord has entrusted us. Whenever you feel the need of a helping hand, just
remember to Mail us stating your trouble and be rest assured that we are always
available, appointed by the Master to be at your service.
Also, a reminder, these are the end times and so be sure to utilize every opportunity to
serve our Lord and invest in His Kingdom by gladly serving His people. Let us
wholeheartedly unite together to stand in the gap and partner in this wonderful work of
our Lord.
“If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion - how can God’s love be in that person ?” ( Holy Bible –
1 John 3: 17 - New Living Translation )
