• FAME (Fisheries and Aquaculture Monitoring and Evaluation) is a support unit to the European Commission, DG MARE.
• Through its network of experts, FAME provide support to DG MARE and to the Member States for the monitoring and evaluation of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF).
• FAME deliver working papers, reports, good projects’ stories, as well as workshops, presentations, needs assessments, peer reviews and training.

Needs related to obligations deriving from a regulation (e.g. CPR, CIR 480/2014, CIR 1243/2014, CIR 1362/2014 etc.);
Needs related to regional specificities (e.g. Mediterranean, land-locked country etc.);
Needs related to OP architecture (e.g. allocation of funds among UPs, measures related to the Landing Obligation, etc.);
Needs related to monitoring and evaluation capacity.

Build capacity for the OP evaluations in 2019 and beyond through training and needs assessments;
Art.97.1 and comprehensive AIR 2018 (Part B and C) reporting: focus on sustaining quality and eliminating the remaining errors and shortcomings;
Use Infosys for evaluation and planning;
Implement EMFF OP process evaluation and performance review;
Identify delivery mechanisms adjustments.

Prepare/implement EMFF OP effectiveness and impact evaluation.
Shape the EMFF and CMES II post 2020 (intervention logic, indicators, Infosys, reporting and annual performance report…);
Prepare for the new OPs (M&E set-up; SWOT; use of EMFF evaluation findings, target setting….).

Workshops, stakeholder meetings and needs/assessment/peer reviews are opportunities for peer exchange;
