Hard to believe with this cold weather we are already talking about summer, but FRRPD will be the place to find fun in the sun. Check out what we have coming this summer

Summer Camps: Traditional Day Camp and special-ty camps like Skateboard Camp, Cooking, Sports and more.

Swimming: Both pools will be open this summer for swim lessons and recreational swimming

Concerts in the Park: A seasonal favorite will be back. Join us Thursday nights at Riverbend Park for a free concert.

Hunter Safety Everyone should be a responsible hunter. This hunter education course instills in students the knowledge and skills necessary to be a responsible and safe hunter. Students learn how hunting accidents are caused and how they can be prevented. Hunter responsibility and safety are stressed throughout the class. Course fee includes hunter safety workbook. Ms. Peggy's Dance ClassesLooking to get your child started in dance? Come and join our in house dance expert Miss Peggy! Classes are offered to all ages in various levels. Mighty Mites (K-4th)Fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals. This is an instructional basketball program designed to focus on building and instilling proper basketball fundamentals for kids in K-4th grade. This is a 7 week Saturday basketball program, the first week will be strictly skills/drills stations and the 6 weeks to follow will start with skills/drills stations and build up to game time. Our Rec Staff members will run the program, so no coaches needed. Registration is limited so sign up today! Registration fee includes jersey. Registration Deadline: Friday, January 17th. 5-8th Grade Leagues: Volleyball, Basketball, Flag Football Cross CountryFRRPD offers a variety of sports including volleyball, basketball, flag football and cross country for boys and girls grades 5th-8th. Various local and surrounding area schools sign teams up to par-ticipate in our leagues. Leagues are formed by grade and will most likely be a combination of 5/6th and 7/8th. If your school cannot organize a team, and you are interested in signing up a team please contact Nina, Recreation Supervisor [email protected] to receive more information. A per game fee is charged (cross country is a per runner fee).

Adult Softball Ready, set, play ball! Join us at Nelson Sports Complex and partic-ipate in our adult sports softball league. Leagues are composed of Men’s and Coed divisions. Teams play one night per week, and are guaranteed a total of 12 to 8 games depending on the season. Teams are required to register by the deadline and pay in full, teams that do not register by the deadline will not be able to participate. *NEW* Winners of the division will receive Championship T-shirts. All managers are required to attend the mandatory managers meetings (failing to do so can result in removal from the league).
