Homeless Updates & Review

Q: If a student experiencing homelessness attends a school that does not receive Title I, Part A funds, how does the student receive services?

A: Every school district that receives Title IA funds is required to set aside a portion of its allotment to provide comparable services to homeless students attending schools that do not receive Title IA services

Q: What kind of services can Title I, Part A funds (including set-asides and other funds) pay for?

AGR is the new SAGEAchievement Gap Reduction

SAGE apply for one year extension - to maintain current classroom ratios (18 to 1 or 30 to 2)

or a new 5-year contract as an AGR school

AGR schools have the option of maintaining classroom ratios, providing one-to-one tutoring for students, or providing instructional coaching to teachers

More guidance to come

All SAGE schools will be AGR by 16-17

Schools of Recognition & Spotlight Schools
