Welcome to the fifth annual Fall Harvest Production Sale. This sale will feature a large group of quality bred females and heifer calves which represent some of the top genetics in the breed. The cattle at Warner Ranch Shorthorns are managed like a commercial herd. We expect a cow to raise a calf every year and maintain her body condition in an efficient manner. If you are looking for a solution to lower birth weights and moderate frame size, please consider these females. Calving ease and maternal strength has been a large focus in our program. We have selected cattle which possess plenty of natural muscle and must be structurally correct, with much consideration given to sound feet and legs and udders which will hold up over a cows breeding career. Our cattle represent the strong influence of the Canadian Shorthorn bulls we have chosen as our herd sires as well as other outstanding domestic Shorthorn bulls we have selected to impact our herd. Our fellow consignors and friends are offering the best from their herds. Some may represent a different genetic focus or type of cattle, but all will represent strong Shorthorn quality cattle. We believe you will find excellent Shorthorn females throughout this offering, there will be cattle available that will be suitable for a wide array of programs. It has been a pleasure to work with sale hosts, Bryan & Marti Warner, Warner Ranch, Riverton, Wyoming and the other consignors. We have learned and grown through the first four sales as we work to offer you a quality, reliable & practical set of Shorthorn & Shorthorn Plus cattle. It is our goal to continue to improve our breeding programs to provide genetics that will work for you, our valued customers. 2014 & 2015 were record breaking years for all segments of the beef complex in terms of price levels and profit margins for the cow/calf, feeder & packer operators. 2016, although we witnessed a few ups and downs it was still the third best market we have experienced in my life time. 2017 has been profitable to most segments. The export market and strong domestic beef sales point to solid profitability opportunities for all of us in the near term. A sound investment in quality genetics as we move forward will continue to be the foundation of your ability to pursue profitable beef production. Terms: Terms of the sale are cash or check (with proper I.D. i.e. valid driver’s license) payable to the Sale Clerk. Cattle will not be released from the Sale Facility until payment or satisfactory arrangements for payment has been made and approved by the Sale Manager. The Sale Manager reserves the right to require a certified check as settlement before releasing any cattle. All lots offered sell under the standard terms and conditions endorsed by the American Shorthorn Association.

Purchases and Risk: All animals are at owners’ risk prior to sale and become property of the buyer as soon as declared sold by the auctioneer.

Insurance: representatives of Great American Insurance Group will available sale day to assist you with any livestock insurance needs for your purchases.

Bidding: All lots sell to the highest bidder. Any disputes or challenges regarding bids will be settled by the auctioneer. His decision will be final.

Absentee Bidding: If you will not be able to attend the sale, please contact the Sale Manager, Auctioneer or Sale Staff a day in advance to secure your bidder number and place your orders.

Health: All animals will be accompanied by proper health certificates making them

eligible for interstate shipment. Prospective buyers should make themselves aware of health requirements for their respective states.

Breeding: Bred females have been pregnancy examined safe in calf by a licensed veterinarian. Any updated breeding information will be made available on sale day.

Announcements: Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed material in this catalog and other announcements.

Liabilities: All persons who attend this sale do so at their own risk. The Sale Contributors, Sale Manager or Sale Facility assumes no liabilities for any accidents that may occur. Transportation: Transportation for your purchases will be your responsibility. However, the sale hosts & guest consignors will make every effort in assisting you in making transportation arrangements for your purchases.
