2015 CEC Conference—Downtown Sturgis!
The City of Sturgis is excited to host the 2015 Connecting Entrepreneurial Communities Conference on
October 21st and 22nd. This conference focuses on learning about exciting concepts and resources, sharing
best practices and fresh ideas, and empowering communities to grow our local economies. The conference
is stacked with exciting and interesting breakout sessions that are embedded in shops and interesting
venues throughout downtown Sturgis. The best part is that the opportunity is close and affordable.
We encourage you to invite others that are interested in the importance of entrepreneurship and growing
local economies.
To register, please visit: http://events.anr.msu.edu/CEC2015. Registration is $85 per person and includes
the opening and closing lunch, Wednesday evening networking reception and dinner, as well as all of the
conference materials.

Fall Brush & Leaf Pick-Up
Fall leaf pickup will begin the first week of November. Leaf pickup will continue through the end of
November. This schedule will adjust due to weather conditions. Please make sure leaves are placed
on the terrace area and not in the street.
Fall brush pickup will begin the first full week of October. DPS crews will begin on the north side of the
City and work their way south. Weather conditions and varying amounts of brush make it difficult to
adhere to a strict schedule; therefore, it is necessary to have your materials ready for pick up. Brush
should be placed on the terrace area and not in the street.
