On the contrary, Italians speak various forms of the language including dialects, juvenile slang, minority languages, language of the media, and many more. The course looks at how the Italian language developed and gives an account on the language varieties and special codes used in contemporary Italian society. Italian 430: Twentieth Century Italy Through Its Literature: Il romanzo della resistenza Prof. Vincenzo Binetti TTh 11:30 am-1 pm #30051 This course studies novels, films, and theoretical texts which address issues related to the Italian Resistance as a historical and political event and to the problematic reconstruction of the nation in the years between 1940 and 1950.
