DIY Party Do you like to be in charge and are simply looking for a space to hold your party? We provide the space, equipment and a party facilitator for two hours, you provide the food, decorations, games and activities.

WHERE CHILDREN LEARN, GROW & THRIVEAt the Y, we regard each child as a unique individual who needs to be understood, guided, encouraged and appreciated. At this early age, play is a child’s most important form of learning and development. We provide programs and activities where children learn, explore, develop athletic skills, build a positive self-image and develop social relationships with other children.

Ensure your child is kindergarten-ready. Enroll him or her in a YMCA pre-K program today.

KIDS CLUBIntroduce your child to the world of math, science, creativity and learning with the Y's variety of art and language classes. Children will work on listening skills, following directions and social skills, all while having fun and learning something new.

Young Explorers In this class, your child will work on small group activities that will strengthen their fine and gross motor, sensory and social/emotional development. This class will serve as an intro to developing listening skills, and following directions.

Math and Science Adventure Join us on a math and science adventure. In these classes, your child will learn everyday math skills through games, Lego's, measuring and other fun number adventures. They will learn that math is everywhere. The science class is designed to build their curiosity for the world they live in with this experimentation/adventure class. Children will do hands-on activities and experiments to learn about the world of science.

Fall Into Fun In this class, your child will experience activities designed to develop gross motor, sensory and social/emotional skills. Activities will include music, games, dance, creative expression and play. Parent must remain in the building if child is not toilet-trained.

Imagination Creation Grab your smock and get ready to get messy. Your child will blend, mix, squish, squeeze and mash together ingredients while problem-solving and working together with others.

PRESCHOOL SPORTSIntroduce your preschooler to different ways to have fun while developing healthy habits through active play. Our sports programs are designed to be non-competitive with an emphasis on developing general sports skills, good sportsmanship and self-confidence. Our instructors help build strong bodies, minds and friendships!

Sporties for Shorties Preschoolers develop sports skills using the YMCA Super Sports Games approach: children learn best through play. In Sporties for Shorties, your preschooler will be introduced to the following sports: basketball, soccer, floor hockey, football and volleyball. Participants will use age-appropriate equipment and will learn basic skills while playing fun games.

Parent & Tot Tumbling This tumbling class is open to boys and girls ages 2-3. This is an introductory class to develop strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness while learning gross motor skills for tumbling. Your little one will also learn tumbling vocabulary and how to participate in a tumbling to set them up for success in their tumbling classes to follow.

Preschool Tumbling This tumbling class is open to boys and girls, ages 3-4. This is an introductory class for preschool-age children ready to develop coordination, body awareness and gross motor skills while working on listening skills, social skills and following directions providing them with a strong foundation to build on in their tumbling classes to follow. Curriculum is progressive with a different body position and concentration each week.

WINTER BREAK CAMPLooking for a child care option when your kids are out of school winter or spring break? When school’s out, the Y is there to keep kids safe and engaged in fun, healthy activities. Our school day out options are designed to engage children in healthy physical activity and foster positive social interactions. Our programs offer the highest-quality instruction and supervision, provided by trained and qualified staff members.Sessions are December 26-30 and January 3-6.

ENRICHMENT AND ARTSThe Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming active and developing healthy habits they will continue throughout their lives. Youth Hip Hop - Coed This program offers an introduction to hip hop. This fun and energetic class is a great way to improve personal fitness, gain confidence, improve flexibility and have fun!

SPORTS LEAGUESIn our leagues, athletes play equal time, with positive competition and family involvement. In addition to developing your child's athletic ability and sportsmanship, our programs emphasize the Y's core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Come watch your child's skills and character develop in one of our youth sports leagues featured below.

Basketball Clinic Separated into age groups, players will work on skill progression drills, ball handling and movement, defense and game strategy.

Floor Hockey Clinic Great introduction to floor hockey. In this class, we focus on the skills of passing, stick-handling and shooting. We will also cover basic goalie skills.

Youth Basketball Coed League (YBL) YBL is an instructional league based on fun, fair play and basic skill development. Every child gets to play and the games are safe, exciting and fun. Players learn and develop skills in an environment that stresses sportsmanship and teamwork. Teams are coached by parent volunteers and assisted by the YMCA sports staff. Practice is one evening per week, with games on Saturdays.

Youth Floor Hockey Coed League This indoor floor hockey program will help your child learn the basics of floor hockey in a safe, controlled environment. Using our Indoor Boarder Patrol, your child will learn and develop the fundamental skills of floor hockey including passing, shooting, team offense and defense and protecting the goal. Teams will be coached by parent volunteers and assisted by the YMCA Sports Staff. Practice is one evening per week, with games on Sundays.

YOUTH PROGRAMSAt the Y, we’re committed to helping youth be their best selves. MIDDLE SCHOOL & TEENSThe Y offers middle school youth and teens different programs to help youth focus on enhancing their athletic and sportsmanship skills, develop healthy habits, build self-confidence and sense of belonging, create an awareness and sense of responsibility for their community and improve academic performance. By providing young adults with the opportunity to learn and grow, we’re creating a healthier and stronger community.

FITNESSFitness is important at all stages of life. Schedule a fitness consultation today for your middle school child or teen to help them discover what health and fitness options are available to help them stay active and fit. Free wellness consultations can be scheduled at the membership desk.

The Oswego Family YMCA also encourages youth aged 8 and up to utilize our classes and facility. Please adhere to the following guidelines:

Youth aged 13-15 Allowed in the Wellness Room at any time after they complete a Fitness Orientation. May also take any group exercise class.

*All youth under the age of 15 are encouraged to complete a fitness orientation in order to understand facility policies and safe machine usage.

FREE WELLNESS CONSULTATIONSA Wellness Consultation is a one-hour session where a trained YMCA professional will meet with you to identify your health, fitness and wellness goals. During this session your consultant will identify YMCA programs, classes, resources and services available that can help you meet your goals.

• Receive guidance specific to your goals, exercise experience, nutritional habits and personal predispositions

• Learn about the most common wellness myths and discover positive health habits

• Learn about programs offered at our Y that could help you in reaching your wellness goals

PERSONAL TRAINING Achieve and exceed your health and fitness goals with the support and guidance of one of our nationally Certified Personal Trainers. Our trainers will create a safe and effective exercise program that’s customized for your personal health and fitness goals.
