Important Dates
THE FALCONS
FLYER DT Day… Spring 2012
Welcome back to everyone, Christmas and New
Year are but a distant memory. Just a reminder
with regards to drop o in the morning. Please
note that early drop o is from 8:00 to 8:15 and
girls must use the side entrance where a teacher
will meet them round the back of the school. At
his me all sta bar the teacher on early drop o
duty, are in a teacher brie ng. From 8:15 to 8:30
the front door is opened and a member of the SLT
is on duty. Can I also remind all parents who use
the riding stable to NOT leave valuables visible, as
unfortunately thieves operate in this area and a
parent last week had her car broken into and bags
snatched and this is not the rst me.
Please note that we are slowly shi ing towards a
paper free environment, so here’s hoping that
you have all started visi ng the VLE .We are
star ng to pop le ers in the parents area and not
hand out copies.
Congratula ons to our Year 6 girls who today
have completed all their exams,” you have all
given your very best” We will rejoice and cele-
brate their success towards the end of February
when results will be know.

Sports Galore!!In the spring and summer term, we will be focusing on the London 2012Olympics. All the girls will be given opportunities to learn more about theOlympics, and we will be visited over the terms by a number of positivesporting role models; some of whom the girls will get to train with. I will postmore information on these events in future editions of the Falcons flyer.
We have been lucky enough to be joined in February for a training sessionby some of the ladies from QPR football club. The girls from Years 1 -6 willtrain on the morning of Wednesday 8 th February in two groups for an hour slot each. It gives the girls the opportunity to learn more about training tech-niques and skills to improve their fitness and football game play. These localsporting female role models will help The Falcons girls to improve their confi-dence in the game of football, and particularly for the older girls, give them a
chance to learn about the disciplines that are needed to become successfulsportswomen.
