On Tuesday March 3rd Mr. Herolds class had a flaming hot cheeto and warhead eating contest.

Ten contestants from Mr. Herolds class lined up along a table. There was a napkin in front of them that

held about 30 flaming hot cheetos and 8 gummy warheads. They couldnt use their hands or arms while

    eating the food.

The winner of this contest was Jordan Garcia. She finished all her food in 2 minutes and 37 seconds.

The runners up were Jay Hartgraves and Nick Collucci both finishing at 2 minutes 52 seconds.

We had interviewed Mrs. Avilez; Mrs. Ridges assis-

tant teacher. It was great she had cooperated with me very

well. I had asked her 3 questions about her job. We had

asked her how she likes her job. She said that she loves her

job and how something is always going on. How long she

has been working there. She said for about a year. The last

question we had asked her if she would stay with her job

and she said she would because she loves her job so much

and all the working in it.

This spring break, millions of teenage and high school students will goto Mexico. We interviewed hillcrest middle school students during 1st 2nd and 3rd

lunch seeing if they are going to Mexico or not. 56 out of 110 students are going

to Mexico for their 2009 spring break. This really surprised all of us when this

number came up. Many people have reserved their hotels and condos for this

    break.

We hope that all students are careful and safe for this years spring break

The 8th grade Hillcrest middle school softball girls just won there very first softball

game of the year on 3/2/09. They played against Deer Valley Middle School. In the first in-

ning the 1st 3 batters got on base then Jordan Garcia was up to bat and then Bam! The ball

was hit to right field and everyone is running Jordan is rounding third base and scores

and hits a grand slam. Then Rhycia Riley comes up and gets a double but Deer Valley

over throws it so it ends up being a homerun. So in the end the total score ended up being

16-1 Hillcrest. Also the last play of the game was when Rhycia did a front flip over the run-

ner at home plate to tag her out. Thursday 3/5/09 was Hillcrest 2nd

    victory of the season

so far. The score was 6 to 0 against Highland Lakes. The game was cut short because the

sprinklers went off but, it was still a win for Hillcrest. We had a fantastic catch by Rhycia

Riley. She did a front flip to catch a pop fly. Also a fantastic game pitched by Lauren Bren-

nan. Then there were back to back homeruns by Jordan Garcia and Rhycia Riley.
