Announcements ~ August 28, 2016 Welcome! Everyone is welcome. As a community of the people of God, the members of Faith Lutheran Church are called to welcome all people. We affirm that in Christ “there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male or female” (Galatians 3:28). Christ has made us one. Welcome to our visitors! We are pleased you are worshiping with us today. We invite guests to complete the Yellow “Guest” card found in the pew racks and leave it with an usher or place it in the offering plate. If you would like more information about Faith, please contact us at 920.775.4141 or [email protected]. Blank offering envelopes are available in the pews for visitors or if you forgot yours at home. Children are welcome at all services. Worship bulletins for children and activity bags are available in the Narthex. If your child needs a break from the service, feel free to walk to the narthex/back of the church. Welcome to the Lord’s Table. Today we will be celebrating communion by intinction. At the table of our Lord Jesus Christ, God nourishes faith, forgives sin, and calls us to be witnesses to the Gospel. The ushers will direct you to come down the center aisle and approach the altar. Please extend your hands in which to receive the bread. Both wine and grape juice are available (Grape juice is in the smaller portion of the chalice). Gluten free elements are available. All are welcome at the table. Those who are not communing may come forward for a blessing. (Please remember when you fill out the yellow card found in the pew, to include your first name as there may be others in the church with similar last names.) Take time now to commit to a time of serving others.  Sign-up information is located in the Gathering Space. The planning committee is also looking for people with connections to local Fire Departments, EMTs and First Responders.  Your help is needed to deliver cards and cookies in the days following the event.  Contact the church office if you are willing to help with this.

Even though the weather outside is warm with the summer sun, Advent will be here before we know it. We would like to find out if there is interest in having a Women's Advent by Candlelight Program this year here at Faith.  Please contact Pastor Erica or Julie Hartman at 758-2317 to let them know if you are interested.  We will need people to help with the planning as well. Please call Julie at 758-2317 or send her an email at [email protected] to let her know you are interested in helping.

It’s A Scavenger Hunt for Lutheran World Relief Supplies! We are asking for your help in gathering needed supplies for Lutheran World Relief kits. Bring new or gently used items to church in time for God’s Work. Our Hands. Sunday on September 11th. Supplies can be left in the basket near the display.
