Slope/Link Settings

Equal Power – Retain more of their amplitude for a greater

portion of the fade.– Use this when crossfading between two

completely different types of material. Equal Gain

– Use when crossfading between two identical regions/instruments.

Use Dither– Improves audio performance and reduce

quantization noise when mixing or fading.

Fades & Elastic Audio

Fades can be created on regions on E.A. enabled tracks, however, E.A. processing cannot be applied to fades.

The fades will always retain their absolute duration.

Micro-fades will be applied at region boundaries to lessen the artifacts at fade files.

Compacting Sound Files

Exporting Region Definitions

Pointers that tell P.T. which parts of an audio file to play.

By exporting the region definitions you can write the pointers into the parent file.
