Lynne Charles

Classic, female point work and classical repertoire

Born in New York, she trained at the

Harkness School of Ballet and later at The

School of American Ballet, before she joined

the American Ballet Theater Junior

Company. From 1974 to 1975 she danced

as a member of the Grand Ballet du Geneve

before she was invited by John Neumeier to

join the Hamburg Ballet in 1975 as a

principal dancer. Her repertoire in Hamburg

included the leading roles in A Midsummer

Night’s Dream, The Lady of The Camellias,

Giselle, Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker,

Don Juan, the Cranko ballets The Taming of

the Shrew and Onegin, Balanchins’ works

Serenade, The four Temparements, Agon. Several roles John Neumeier created on her, like Morgan in the

Legend of King Arthur, Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, Rosalind in As You Like It, The Ballerina in

Petruschka, Giselle in Giselle, The sister in Schubert’s Wendungen, The Firebird in Firebird or Maria in the

Mathews Passion. In 1986 she joined the Ballet of the XXth Century Lausane under diretion of Maurice

Bejart, where she added to her repertoire the leads in many Bejart creations. From 1989 until 1991 she

has been principal with the Ballet National de Marseille, again increasing her repertoire with the creations

of Roland Petit. For the following season she has been a principal guest artist with The English National

Ballet, The Birmingham Royal Ballet and the Bolzano Dance Festival, performing Katarina and Bianca in the

Taming of the Shrew ( Choreography by John Cranko), Ballerina in Etudes (Choreography by Harold Lander),

3rd Song in The 4 Last Songs from Strauss (Choreography by Ben Stevenson), Giselle in Giselle

(Choreography by Peter Wright), Maria in the Nutcracker (Choreography by Peter Wright), Odette and Odile

in Swan Lake (Choreography Natalia Makarova). In 1992 she joined the Malmo Ballet Sweden under

Direction of Jonas Kage and added to her huge repertoire choreographies by Jonas Kage, Kevin Haigen,

Patrick King and herself. From 1995 until 1997 she has been the first soloist and Ballet Mistress of the

Colombia City Ballet under the direction ship of William Starret. In 1998 she returned to Germany to the

Aalto ballet Essen under direction of Prof. Martin Putlke as a principal, where she has been dancing pieces

by John Cranko, Marilese Delante, Anton Dolin, Anna Pavlova, Richard Wherlock, Birgit Schertzer and

Sergei Gordienko. Since 200 she is a Freelance guest Artist Coach, teacher and Ballett Mistress in

renowned companies all over the world. She has been teaching at Les Ballet de Monte Carlo, Ballet de

Marseille, Ballet de Nancy, Ecole de Danse de Marseille, Ballet de Lyon and Ballet de Nord, Ballet

National de Madrid, Ballet de Nacho Duato, Bejart Ballet Lausanne, Rudra school Lausane, Jurriens

Foundation, Malmo Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, Finnish National Ballet , The Loft, Colombia City Ballet,

Ballet of Maine, Hartford Ballet, Myrtle Beach Summer Course, Vancouver Tour with soloists of the

Paris Opera, Universal Ballet Seoul Korea, Hong Kong Ballet, Archi Tanz, Tokyo, Ecole Yokohama,

Morikawa Satomi Ballet Studio, Jean Wong School of Ballet Hong Kong, Haga Ballet Academy, Tokyo,

Shinkotani Ballet Hokaido, Yumiko Tobe Ballet School, Japan International Youth Ballet, Tama Japan as

well as the German companies the Frankfurt Ballet, the Karlsruhe Ballet, the Aalto Ballet Essen, the

Hannover Ballet, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düssledorf and coach with Stella Theatre Management

for Cats and Phantom of the Opera. Further more she has been a choreographic assistant to Richard

Wherlock, Kevin Haigen and Birgit Scherzer and has been staging Kinder Toten Lieder (Choreography by

Anna Laerkensen) for the Ottawa Ballet), Vaslav (Choreography by John Neumeier) for the Paris Opera

Ballet, for the Aalto Ballet Essen as well as Les Sylphides for Shinkotani Ballet Hokaido. Lynn Charles is as

well a successful choreographer and she has been creating more than 30 ballets. From 2011 ballet master

Robert Denvers

Classic, Pas de deux, Classical repertoire

Born in Antwerp, Robert Denvers developed

his dance career primarily with Maurice

Bejart's Ballet of the Xxth Century— from

1963 to 1973, and then started to work as a

soloist at the National Ballet of Canada.

From 1975 to 1977 he was based in New

York, devoting himself to a thorough study of

the Balanchine method and style, and

returned to the Ballet of the Xxth Century in

1977 as a teacher and assistant director. In

1979, back in New York, he established his

own ballet studio, the West Side School of

Ballet, where prominent dancers from the

New York City Ballet, the American Ballet

Theatre, and The Joffrey Ballet came to take classes, among them Mikhail Baryshnikov, Natalia

Makarova, Gelsey Kirkland and Rudolf Nureyev. Robert Denvers was also a guest teacher with the New

York City Ballet, the American Ballet Theatre, the Dallas Ballet, the Netherlands Dance Theatre, the Royal

Swedish Ballet, the North Carolina School of the Arts and the English National Ballet. At the time of his

appointment as Artistic Director of the Royal Ballet of Flanders, he was guest teacher with the Ballet of

the Paris Opera and the Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen. Since undertaking his position on 19 January,

1987, Denvers has been responsible for the daily company classes, and his outstanding pedagogical talent

has led to remarkable results. His aim was to provide the public with a wide spectrum of ballet and dance

genres. The names of many renowned contemporary choreographers figure in the repertoire of the Royal

Ballet of Flanders, together with the great classic and modern ballets. International competitions frequently

call on Robert Denvers to serve on their juries (Paris, Osaka, Luxemburg, Houlgate, Lausanne, Shanghai).

He is as well member of the jury of renowned Prix Benois de la danse ( Teacher at Summer school Ballett

Dortmund 2011).

Monica Fotescu-Uta

Classic, female pointe work and repertoire

Born in Bucharest, Romania. She has been

studying at the the National Highschool of

Romania and the Academie de Dance

Classique "Princesse Grace" in Monte

Carlo. Her first Engagement has been at

the National Ballett of Romania,

afterwards at the Opera de Nancy (France)

before she joined the Deutsche Oper am

Rhein in Düsseldorf (Germany) in 1997.

When Xin Peng Wang took the direction of

the Ballet of Meiningen she followed his

call and become principal of the company

there in 2000. Three years later she come

together with Xin Peng Wang to Dortmund,

where she become principal and choreographic assistant under his direction. Beside the leading roles in

Carmen, Schwanlake, Nutkracker, Manon, Romeo and Juliet, War and peace, she danced in choreographies

of William Forsythe, George Balanchine, Benjamin Millepied, Mauro Bigonzetti and Peter Breuer. Many

pieces of Xin Peng Wang has been created especially on her. Beside dancing Monica Fotecu-Uta has been

creating many own pieces for Galas, Opera ball and National Opera House in Bucharest.

Leon Kjellsson

Classic and Bournonville repertoire

Leon Kjellsson was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. He received his first

dance training at the “LLK Dans” School in Copenhagen, directed by his

parents who were professional ballet and dance teachers. He went on to

accomplish his ballet education at Birger Bartholin´s “International Ballet

Seminar” and at the “Royal Danish Ballet”. He was trained by great teachers

like Vera Volkova, Toni Lander, Kirsten Simone, Henning Kronstam, Palle

Jacobsen, Flemming Ryberg and Birger Bartholin. After dancing for two years

with the “Royal Theatre Copenhagen” he joined the Bavarian State Ballet in

1975 where he had the privilege to work with choreographers like John

Neumeier, Jiri Kilian, Sir Peter Wright, Hans van Manen, Ronald Hynd,

Jean-Pierre Bonnefous, Grey Veredon, Lar Lubowich, Norbert Vesak, Erich

Walter, Johann Kresnik and Youri Vàmos. He performed also in pieces of

George Balanchine, August Bournonville, John Cranko, Michail Fokine, Glen

Tetley and many others. While dancing with the company, Leon has also

been teaching ballet classes at the “Iwanson Dance Center” in Munich where he progressed to a principal

pedagogue for classical ballet.

In 1986 he decided to leave Munich and take up new responsibilities as Ballet Master and Assistant

Director of the Dortmund Ballett under Youri Vàmos direction. In addition to his new position, Leon

founded the ballet school of the Dortmund Theatre.

In 1988, Leon moved with Youri Vamos and his Ballerina Joyce Cuoco to the Ballett Bonn and later in 1991

to the Ballet Basel, where he directed the ballet school as well. From 1996 to 2009 the team run the

Ballett der Deutschen Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf Duisburg. Following his passion for teaching, Leon

founded and directed the “Ballettschule der Deutschen Oper am Rhein”. He further managed to appoint

some of the world’s finest choreographers like John Neumeier, Mats Ek, Jiri Kilian, Hans van Manen, Uwe

Scholz, Nils Christe, Christopher Bruce, Richard Wherlock to choreograph or arrange their ballets for the

company in Düsseldorf.

Ballet master guest: Wiener Staatsoper, Wiener Volksoper, Prag State Opera and National Theatre, Royal

Swedish Ballet and Robert North's Ballet Krefeld/Mönchengladbach.

Tamas Moricz

Forsythes Improvisation Technology and repertoire

Born in Hungary, where he trained first as a gymnast and continued for

nine years at the National Ballet Academy Budapest. After school he

went to Israel to join the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, where

he danced in the works of Mats Ek, Jiri Kylian and other modern dance

pieces. After Kibbutz he went to Jan Fabre's group Troubleyn as part of

the performance "Da Un Altra Faccio del Tempo". This group has

launched the solo careers of choreographers Antony Rizzi, Emio Greco

and Marc Vandrux as well. The most important part of his career started

with the invitation from William Forsythe to his company in Frankfurt.

The following eight years he was working in the company and learned

how to improvise and got a new understanding on the possibilities of

dance and it's creation. Apart from William Forsythe he worked with

some well known choreographers and artists such as Saburo

Teshigowara, Jacopo Godani, Antony Rizzi, Mike Figgis, Ryuichi

Sakamoto, Crystal Pite, Amanda Miller, Jonathan Burrows, and many

others. Tamas gained the valuable knowledge and sense of creative freedom, this is what he bring further

and share with his students: Palucca Hochschule Dresden, The Royal Academy of Antwerp, P.A.R.T.S

Bruxelles, Codarts Rotterdam, The DANCE Apprentice program, The Venice Biennale, Tokyo ArchiTanz,

Korean National University of the Arts, University of Istanbul, Frankfurter Hochschule. Companies:

Cullberg Ballett, Angelin Preljocaj Co, Skanes Dansteater and others.

Thomas Kolczewski

Step Dance

Thomas Kolzcewski won the German Championship

three times and once the World Championship in

Duo Step Dance. He also won the TAP AHEAD

AWARD. He teaches Jazz and Step Dance at the

German Musical Academy and the Osnabrück

University of Applied Science. In 1994 he and Jutta

Maas founded their own Setp Company Tap 5. He

works as a choreographer for Tap 5 and other

companies and theaters (Musiktheater im Revier,

Städtische Bühnen Münster).

As a dancer he worked at many theaters such as

Capitol Theater Düsseldorf, Theater Dortmund,

Musiktheater im Revier and Städtische Bühnen Münster.

Ludmila Nikitenko

Classic, female pointe work and repertoire

She was born in Kiew, where she began her

ballet education at the age of 10. After

finishing her studies in 1998 she worked at

the National Theatre in Kiew (Ukraine), then

from 1991 to 1992 at the National Theatre

in Zagreb (Croatia) and from 1992 to 1998

at the State Theatre in Linz (Austria). In

1998 Prof Martin Puttke invited her to join

the Aalto Ballett Theater Essen, where she

has been dancing as a soloist until 2010.

She was working with renowned

choreographers as Christian Spuck, Jochen

Ulrich, Mario Schröder, Johan Inger,

Stephan Thoss, Richard Wherlock, Jörg

Mannes, Heinz Spoerli, Patrick Delcroix, Peter Schaufuß, Boris Eifmann and many more. Her huge

repertoiry included the leading roles in "The Nutcracker", "Don Quixote", "Der Grüne Tisch", Chefin in "The

Wall", "Rite of Spring", "Diaghilew: Die Favoriten", Cinderella, "Die roten Schuhe" and "Swan Lake". Many of

this roles has been created for her. Especially her interpretation of Princess Lena in Christian Spuck's

"Leonce und Lena" was widely acclaimed. She organised several dancing events and galas. In 2007 and

2008 she was responsible for the choreographies of the Philharmonic Ball Essen and the Johann Strauß-

Gilda Rebello

Relaxation, Body Conditioning, Stretching

Born in Rio de Janeiro. She was studied at

the Balletschool of the City theatre of Rio de

Janeiro: dance, singing and acting. Later she

continued her education in Germany, at the

Folkwang University in Essen. Her

teachers: Jean Cebron, Malou Airaudo, Lutz

Förster, Dominique Mercy, Brian Bertscher,

Anne Marie Benati, Christine Kono, Alfredo

Corvino, Paul Mellis and other. For four years

she was dancing at the Folkwang

Tanzstudio (choreography by Airaudo Malou,

Mark Sieczkarek, Rainer Behr, Daniel Goldin,

Raffaela Giordano, Susanne Linke and

others) under the artistic direction of Pina

Bausch. She invited Gilda to her company Tanztheater Wuppertal as a guest for performances and

international tours. She followed the dance companies of Mark Siekzkarek and Rodolfo Leoni. In 2004 she

received her Pilates Instructor Certificate (Coaches: Eduardo Laranjeiras and Colleen Glenn (Vogue

magazine calls her "One of America's top 55 trainers"). As a musical performer she was to see as a soloist

in "Miami Nights" at the Ronacher Theater Vienna and at the Capitol Theater Düsseldorf. In 2004, she

enjoyed great success as Anita ("West Side Story") at the Theater Dortmund. This was followed at Aalto

Theater Essen in the musical "Aida" and "The Life" at Musiktheater im Revier in Gelsenkirchen. In 2006 she

choreographed „Little Shop of Horrors" at Theatre Kassel. 2007 she performed the singing role of Maria in

"Maria de Buenos Aires" by Astor Piazzolla and next year the role of Spider wife in "Kuss der Spinnenfrau"

at Theater Dortmund to see. In 2011 she was worked as guest at the Aalto Theater Essen and

Landestheater Neuss and choreographed for the Bayreuth Festival. Currently she is teaching ballet, body

conditioning, barre a terre, Pilates and anatomy knowledge base, modern dance and choreography

composition at DansArt Tanznetworks Bielefeld.

Colin Sinclair

Musical Jazz

Colin Sinclair graduated from The Urdang

Academy of Ballet and Performing Arts in

London. He then started a long career as an

Artiste. Traveling to Norway and Sweden he

worked as a dancer/ singer in musical

shows for scandinavien television. At the

same time, he was co-founder and

choreographer of the Abstract Dance

Company. After he returned to London to

work as a freelance teacher and

choreographer, he started a new dance

project called “Metropolis” who toured the

Canary and Balearic Islands for further two

years. Performing in Theateres, Hotels and

Casinos and on television with glamours Las Vegas floorshows. For two years, Colin was the executive

Choreographer for Showcase Entertainment as well as resident Choreographer for The Talk of London

Showroom. In both positions he wrote and developed concepts for forth coming productions as well as

producing and directing. He holds a New York Film Academy Diploma. At present, he concentrates on

writing, choreography and filmmaking. (Teacher at Summer school Ballett Dortmund 2011)

Mina Skenderija

Classic, female repertoire: Mina Skenderija

She was born in Belgrade (former

Yugoslavia). She received her education at

the State Conservatory of Dance „Lujo

Davico“ in Belgrade in the class of Ivanka

Lukateli. During her studies she participated

in several national and international

competitions, including the Prix de Lausanne,

and was offered an engagement with the

Yugoslavian National Ballet in Belgrade. In

1996 she moved to Germany where she

received a postgraduate scholarship from the

Birgit Keil Foundation to study Ballet and

Modern Dance at the John Cranko Schule in

Stuttgart. Just after graduation in 1998 she

joined the Stuttgart Ballet under the direction of Reid Anderson. Further stations of her dance career were

the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Düsseldorf under the direction of Youri Vamos, and the Friedrichstadtpalast

Berlin. Her repertory includes works by John Cranko, John Neumeier, Hans van Manen, Youri Vamos,

Jochen Ulrich, Jan Linkens and Richard Werlock. From 2008 till 2010 she studied Dance Education at the

Palucca Schule Dresden – Hochschule für Tanz, under direction of Jason Beechey.

Chesse Rijst

Jazz Dance

After his education at the "European School

of Jazz Dance" in Amsterdam and several

years as a dancer in the U.S. taught Chesse

Rijst at lot of Dance schools including the

prestigious "University of the Arts" in

Arnhem and the Rotterdam Dance

Academy. He currently teaches at the

Academy of the Dutch National Ballet. As

a jazz teacher, he is by his compassionate

response to difficultis of movements and for

his never-ending patience very popular

lecturer. His intense teaching style makes

him one of the most popular jazz dance

teacher in Europe, especially his connecting

with the latest trends of freestyle, hip hop

and street jazz (Teacher at Summer school Ballett Dortmund 2011).

Nicolas Robillard

Artistic developement und choreographic workshop

He was born in Argenteuil (France) and

studied at the Conservatoire National

Superieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris.

He danced for the Ballet National de Nancy

(France), the Koninklijk Ballet van

Vlaanderen (Belgium), the Ballet du Grand

Théâtre de Genève (Swiss), the Opera Lyon

(France) and pretty ugly tanz in Köln

(Germany). The choreographers he worked

with include Mats Ek, William Forsythe and

Jiřřřří Kylián. He also works as ballet master for

Tanzhaus NRW Düsseldorf and as guest

teacher and Assistant Ballet Master for

Ballett Dortmund (Teacher at Summer school

Ballett Dortmund 2011).

Pedram Zamani

Hiphop

He was born in Teheran (Iran). Already as a

child he has been in touch with Hip Hop and

Electric Boogie. He came to Germany at age

of 15 and continued his intensive training.

His outstanding talent has made him one of

the most awarded Hip Hopers of the last

years.

He won 8 times the German Championship,

twice the Europan Championship and three

times the World Championship of Hip Hop

and Popping. In April 2010 he opened his

own school of Hip Hop and is teaching his

skills and unique style. Pedram is one of the

main dance actors and choreographer of

dance movie project – Dortmund tanzt (Teacher at Summer school Ballett Dortmund 2011).
