Dr. S. S. Tyagi has completed his Ph.D

in Computer Science and Engineering

from Kurukshetra University; M.E from

BITS Pilani and B.Tech in Computer

Technology from Nagpur University. He

is having an experience of more than

26 years including 4 years of industrial

and 22 years of academic/ teaching/

research experience. He has been

holding various academic and

administrative positions during his

career. He is a senior member of

various professional organizations like

IEEE, ACM, CSI, QCI, ASQ. Presently,

he is also Chair, IEEE Computer

Society, and Chair IEEE standing

committee of publications and

publicity, Delhi Section. There are more

than 70 publications to his credit in

National and International Journals.

He is associated as an editor/reviewer

of various renowned journals. He is

actively involved in research and

guided/guiding research scholars in

the field of Ad hoc networks, Software

Defined Networking, Cloud

Computing, Wireless Security etc.

ABOUT FACULTY OF

COMPUTER

APPLICATIONS (FCA) Faculty of Computer Applications aims

to educate and train individuals who

have interest & skills to be able to fulfill

the requirements of the IT industry.

At present, the department offers Ph.D

(Computer Science), MCA, BCA, and

B.Sc. (IT) Programs with updated IT

industry-ready curriculum. The

curricula for all the programs offered

in the department has been designed

on the Choice Based Credit System

(CBCS) with a basket of good number

of Elective Courses including Discipline

Elective, Generic Elective and Open

Electives as per the guidelines of UGC

and AICTE. Some of the recent courses

include Python Programming,

R Programming, Machine Learning,

Robotics, Cloud Computing,

Optimization Techniques, Digital

Image Processing, Software Project

Management, Software Defined

Networking, Search Engine

Optimization, Blockchain Technology

etc. The department also offered

research-oriented subjects in all

programmes that help students to work

as researchers and scientists.

The department is fully equipped with

computer laboratories and smart

classrooms.

Dr. Shaveta Bhatia has been awarded her PhD degree in Computer Applications. She has completed her Master in Computer Applications (MCA) from Kurukshetra University. She is having 17 years of academic and research experience. She is a member of various professional bodies such as Computer Society of India (CSI), International Association of Engineers (IAENG) & Advance Computing Machinery (ACM). She has participated in various National and International Conferences and actively involved in various projects. There are more than 40 publications to her credit in reputed National and International Journals and Conferences. She is also member of Editorial board of various highly index journals. Her specialized domains include Mobile Computing, Web Applications, Data Mining and Software Engineering. She is guiding research scholars as per her specialized areas.

projects to enable them to gain insights

into the working of the IT industry.
