Faculty of Animal Husbandry Organizes a Guest Lecture on Entrepreneurship

Fapet held a guest lecture on entrepreneurship

Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Brawijaya University held a guest lecture on entrepreneurship, Saturday (10/Dec/2016) at the 8th floor. The event that followed by 660 students was a process on competence improvement in entrepreneurship lecture. Entrepreneurship is university's mandatory lecture in fifth semester. The lecture that started at 08:00 a.m invited two speakers including Dr. Ir. Sumarno, M.MA (Dean of Faculty of Economics of Tribuana Tunggadewi University) and Nyoman Ariwibowo, S.Pt (a motivator).

On the occasion, Sumarno delivered his success story as a director in a broiler company partnership so-called "Surya Mitra Farm" that he was established since 2004 in Mojokerto. His business is rapidly growing till recently more than 600 plasma farmers have joined in his group. Sumarno's company has branches in several areas like Lamongan, Jember, Banyuwangi, Nganjuk and Madiun.

The alumni of Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Brawijaya University revealed his key of successes in business including building networks as much as possible. The principle also has made him survive in broiler business competition.

"Expand your intercommunication in order to survive in the business. Ups and downs in the world of entrepreneurship are normal things. But as an entrepreneur, we should have solid standpoint and spirit to rise, and also designing strategy to deal with business risks. [dta/Humas UB/trans. Denok]
