About Faculty Development Program (FDP)

This FDP is a 40 hours program which is specially designed for faculty members. The program

enables the participants to develop competence in understanding recent advances to learn to

improve pedagogies and to better presentation skill to become an effective faculty of their

respective disciplines. This Program intends to facilitate up-gradation of knowledge, skill and

intends to provide opportunities for induction training to teachers employed in various disciplines.

It would also cover areas such as technical education policy, new concepts, methods and techniques,

educational technology, motivation, communication skills, management and other relevant issues to

keep pace with the changing scenario in education. The scheme is designed to enhance the teaching

and other skills of the faculty and to make them aware about modern teaching tools and

methodologies. It provides an opportunity to acquire knowledge about current technological

developments in relevant fields. It will not only promote the professional practices relevant to

technical education but also motivates the faculty to achieve competitive teaching and learning

environment, thus channelizing development with respect to academic qualifications and

administrative skills.

The Faculty Development Program (FDP) 2018 especially focuses on the

overall development of the faculties as an individual. Overall development

includes the technical, managerial, ethical and the personality grooming skills.

Thus, our FDP 2018 enumerates the following benefits:

1. To make the faculty skilled in latest technologies:

Conducting faculty development program on such latest technologies will

help the respective faculty members to learn and get skilled in them.

With the teaching experience coming in handy, the faculty members can

easily understand the latest technologies and in turn teach it your

students in a very easy manner.

2. To make them integrate more technology onto their teaching :

Although it is not very easy to integrate technology onto our traditional

teaching methodology and with the emergence of interdisciplinary field

like robotics, Internet of things & automation technologies, it will be

extremely difficult to teach those faculties through conventional teaching

methodologies.

Now and then, the faculties need to refresh their minds by going back to

their learning days. Every institution has their own objective & vision on

opportunities of an individual.

Overall, costing of the FDP 2018 depends on the total strength of the

faculties that are greatly interested in this program & are currently

available at the time of program held in the respective University

campus or the official campus of our organisation.
