DURATION:
In order to enhance the quality of classroom delivery of academic programs being run and foster a better ecosystem for research and innovation in the institutions, the AKTU has decided to conduct faculty development programs (FDP) at large scale in different clusters of the state. To initiate this activity this FDP is being planned and designed. It aims at deliberation, sharing knowledge to the target audience about the significance of thermodynamics and present current research opportunities in this field.
Thermodynamics is science of energy transfer and its effect on the physical properties of substances. It is based upon observations of common experience which have been formulated into thermodynamic laws. These laws govern the principles of energy conversion. The applications of the thermodynamic laws and principles are found in all fields of energy technology, notably in steam and nuclear power plants, IC engines, gas turbines, air-conditioning, refrigeration, gas dynamics, jet propulsion, compressors, chemical process plants and direct energy conversion devices.
An extensive coverage will be provided in this faculty development program (FDP) on the following aspects:

The sessions of this Faculty Development Program shall be conducted by the team
of eminent academicians & industry experts possessing in-depth knowledge in the
area of Applied Thermodynamics. It will consist of a series of lectures and hands-on
practical sessions.
This Faculty Development Program is especially designed for faculty members of
engineering colleges affiliated to Dr. A.P.J.A.K. Technical University, Lucknow. The
faculty members of other courses who are interested to enhance research skills can
also join this Program.

Department of Mechanical Engineering of SRMS College of Engineering & Technology, Bareilly will award the 'Certificate of Participation” to each participant after completion of the program.
The college will provide free accommodation and fooding to each outstation participants of this Faculty Development Program. The participants who need accommodation during Faculty Development Program are required to make request for that in the registration form.
The Faculty Development Program fee is ` 2000/- per participant. However, The Chairman, SRMS Trust will reimburse `1000/- per participant to encourage research and development among participants. Hence, the registration fee for the FDP will be ̀ 1000/- per participant.
Candidates can register themselves by sending the duly filled downloaded registration form from college website http://www.srms.ac.in/cet/ along with the Demand Draft drawn in favour of “SRMSCET" payable at Bareilly and send it to The FDP Co-ordinator, Department of Mechanical Engineering, SRMSCET, Bareilly (U.P.) 243202. Registration fee can also be paid in cash at the venue of FDP.
