First Eurovision Song Contest was held in Switzerland and was won by the host country with

a song called ‘Refrain’ sung by Lys Assia.

On Saturday 23 May it was the 60th Eurovision Song Contest which was held in Austria and was

won by Sweden’s Mans Zelmerlow with a song call ‘Heroes’.
