Support for testing display with tag placeholders

FactoryTalk View Machine Edition 8.10.00 supports testing display with tag placeholders. This enhancement includes the ability to test out regularParameters (for example, #1), Parameter Files, and Global Object Parameter values in FactoryTalk View ME Studio.

Design-time multi-monitor support

In a system extending the Microsoft Windows desktop across multiple physical monitors, if dialog boxes, toolbars, or editors are positioned in an extendeddesktop, and one or more of the physical monitors are disconnected from the system, FactoryTalk View Studio 8.10.00 will automatically reposition:

System RequirementsThis release has the following system requirements.

Hardware requirements

Personal computer with an Intel Pentium 4 processor (2 GHz or faster processor recommended).Memory (RAM): 1 GB (or more) for 32-bit systems. A minimum of 2 GB required for 64-bit operating systems.Hard disk space: Minimum 1.5 GB.

3.20 MER files created in FactoryTalk View Studio 8.00.00 fails to be loaded on a 3.20.xx terminal. (352650)

Alarm Editor

The alarm label filtering in Alarm Status List object does not work. (349755)

Graphics

Using Library objects in FactoryTalk View Studio 8.00.00 causes design time and runtime errors. (352752)Wedge object misses a line when being shown on a PanelView Plus 6 terminal. (352344)

FactoryTalk View File Viewer

When opening 8.0 Alarm Log Files in FactoryTalk View File Viewer v2.0.0.1, "Convert log file error" shows. (351311)

Firmware Upgrade Wizard

When upgrading PanelView Plus 6 Compact 1000 from 7.0 to 8.0 via SD card, the firmware upgrade cannot be completed, and error message showsthat the platform is <unknown>. (349030)
