PROJECT INFORMATION
La Muni Apparels limited is a fully compliant, modern and technologically developed project of denim and woven products, exporting to buyers all over the world. It is a sister concern of the local giant in spinning and textile industry Bangladesh, Metro Spinning Limited.
The project was designed for 20 lines oven (trousers & 5 pocket trousers) garments in two phases. The brand new machinery for 10 lines garments has already imported from reputed manufacturer of different countries and the production are running smoothly. Rest of 10 lines machinery will be imported soon. The Product mix and annual production capacity of the project are explained in this report.
La Muni Apparels is fully equipped with state-of-the-art automatic and semi-automatic machineries. With a total project area of 80,025 sft., the entire factory facility ensures that workers are motivated, energized and safe to deliver world-class products. Currently, La Muni Apparels is ensuring the livelihood of about 1824 people who work together as a team to make the organization a success.

Sanjid Hasan Amit Chairman
Mr. Sanjid Hasan Amit shares his vast knowledge in
consideration and recommendation of any decision
of the board as well as the audit committee as the
Chairman of the company. He is also involved in
business planning, financial planning, setting up
marketing policies, procurement policies, dividend
policies and many other affairs of the company. He
has gathered his knowledge in modern methods,
technology, and production, marketing and
management techniques of the textile industry
being associated with his family business.
Mohammad Ali Khokon Managing Director
Mr. Mohammad Ali Khokon has over 31 years of
business experience. He has visited many countries
of the world in connection of business and thus has
gained vast experience and knowledge in modern
methods, technology, and production, marketing
and management techniques of the textile industry.
His wisdom helps the company to formulate policies
and to set strategic direction for the entire range
of its activities.

The sewing section of La Muni Apparels Ltd. is
comprised of various automatic and
semi-automatic machineries. The production
system can be categorized as an assembly
process. All the products are assembled in this
section in 10 different lines. The Quality
Assurance Department oversees the entire
process to ensure more efficiency.

The daily finishing and packaging limit
of La Muni Apparels is above 20% of
the daily production. The Finishing
Quality Controller takes time to
examine the products meticulously.
After packaging, Quality Assurance

DEVELOPMENT

Muni Apparels Ltd. delivers the exact samples as per the clients’
requirements. Its designers, all trained in reputed local and foreign
institutions, blend their skills with inputs of the ever-changing global
fashion trends.
The section works with the clients closely, from initial sketch to
development of a range of counter samples, and really values the
clients’ wishes.
QUALITY CONTROL AND ASSURANCE
CODE OF CONDUCT
By remodeling and refining the
manufacturing process continuously, the
Quality Control section of La Muni
Apparels has ensured low rework and
repair rate; which thereby ensures high
quality products in the quickest possible
time. The experienced Quality Control
team extends its operations even in
sourcing decisions of raw materials,
chemicals and accessories. So, from
selecting right chemicals for ensuring fiver
color tolerance to adopting technologies to
give right quality and comfort- La Muni
Apparels assures maximum value to
clients.
Compliance is a continuous process in
manufacturing, not a single event. To
become a responsible apparel
manufacturer, it is important to exceed
local and law and legislation and meet ILO
convention in terms of employment
practices and to do it continuously.
La Muni Apparels succeeds because of its
strict adherence to ethical business
practices in dealing with clients, suppliers
and other stakeholders. The capability of
extending short lead-time is possible
because of the mutual trust and
commitment the company shares with its
suppliers.
WORKERS’ WELFARE
WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT
Besides paying a "living wage" which is
substantially higher than the legal minimum,
La Muni Apparels also supports its employees
by setting up welfare facilities like medical
center, day-care center, and canteen. Properly
equipped with a team of full-time doctors and
nurses, its medical unit extends consultation
and medication to workers’ general health
care requirements. It also bears full expenses
of treatment of any injuries incurred in
working hours. In base, day-care center is not
mere compliance with legal requirement,
rather a pride- taking care of and educating
children of working mothers. Moreover,
adequate and facilitated arrangement of
canteen, safe drinking waters, and hygienic
lavatories make the facility a good place to
work.
As a responsible apparel producer, La Muni
Apparels provides its employees a work
environment much better than the required
level set by Bangladeshi law. The goal is to
exceed requirements of local legislation and
reach the global standards, and thereby, to
support clients’ visions and sourcing principles.
Clearly demarcated emergency routes & exits,
smoke & fire detectors, consciously designed
working layouts ensure a safe workplace for
workers. As per ISO requirements, instructions
and warning signs are posted in highly visible
places, inside the factory and in local language
(Bangla). Besides being safe, the workplace
offers a congenial & supporting environment
for all: managerial staffs and workers work in
mutual cooperation and respect.
