The building operations cost ₤ 9 billions. The tunnel’s lenght is 50 km(from Normand to Kent), and from this distance 39 km is under the sea level(The depth is from 40 to 75 meters). The Channel Tunnel has got three parallel tunnels: from these two’s width is 20 m(on one arrive from England and on the other arrive from France the trains).The middle, the third’s width is just 5 m. (Th is is the service tunnel.). The tunnels are 7.6 m high. The inangaration was in 1994 on may the 6 th . On the celebration was there II.
