Overview Project management is high in demand in variety of industries and so is the need of project manag- ers. Organizations today face fierce competitions and tight budgets. They need to combat global challenges. In response organizations need structured approach to plan, organize, control and manage their resources (& internal capabilities) to deliver timely and in budget results. The purpose of this programme is to address the project and general threshold competence required to manage simple to complex projects in a variety of industries, equipped with industry tools. This programme is based on the Project Management Institute’s (PMI ®) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK ®), integrated into its curriculum and aligned to the SAQA qualification. At the end of the programme you will also write your PRINCE2 Foundational certification. For individ- uals, PRINCE2 certification is an invaluable asset to your career as it increases employment prospects and helps you do your job more effectively. This is true for any job function. A 2016 AXELOS survey questioned individuals in project management and other roles, such as IT, senior management and operations. They reported that "regardless of function, candidates do find that PRINCE2 is valuable to their career" (pg. 22).
