Lemonis Limoncello
PRODUCTION ZONE: Citrus groves on the Villa Spadara estate, between Lacco Ameno and Forio d’Ischia; beautiful lemon plantation comprising 500 lemon trees yielding 25,000 kilos yearly on average; only top‐quality fruit. LEMON VARIETIES: Limone Pane, Femminiello, Almanacco, Quattro Stagioni, Monachello PRODUCTION METHOD: Infusion of lemon peels from top fruit only in pure alcohol (96.2% by vol.) Infusion time varies depending on the lemon peels and the amount of essential oils produced. Alcohol is lowered by incorporating pure sugar syrup along with distilled water. A second infusion is effected with citrus leaves. Syrup is added and then slowly mixed to ensure the blend is well balanced before filtering and bottling. COLOR: Intense yellow with subtle green hues PALATE: As soft and silky as a sandy Ischia beach... Well balanced, tickles the nose slightly ALCOHOL CONT.: 32% by vol. SERVING TEMPERATURE: 4‐8° C (39.2‐ 46.4° F) WAYS TO ENJOY IT: As happy conclusion to any meal; you can add some sparkling mineral water; or Prosecco wine or another light sparkling wine, as an aperitif; add a little lemon sherbet and it’s a great cold beverage; as hot drink, with chamomile tea; as cocktail, with vodka; drizzled over ice cream or cakes as dessert; in hot water with a slice of lemon as a tonic; as an after‐dinner digestive liqueur, provided you serve it in a chilled glass...
