just need to CONSISTENTLY flex muscles and engage in activity that strengthens your heart & lungs
regular exercise makes you stronger, more energetic, and in better overall health—you will have the energy to do all the things you want or need to do

exercise helps build lean muscle mass
if you don’t exercise while you diet, you will lose both fat and lean muscle mass
diet without exercise is less effective than diet and exercise combined

3 parts: aerobic fitness, muscle strengthening & endurance, flexibility
aerobic fitness—brisk walking, running, stair climbing, biking, swimming, dance, etc…...make our heart & lungs work at full capacity
muscle strengthening & endurance—chin-ups, push-ups, leglifts, pilates etc……improves performance, prevents fatigue, improves posture, feel more energetic

flexibility—warm up & cool down stretching and yoga…moves a joint through its full range of motion, reduces stiffness & pain
rest, relaxation & renewal
rest:when we get too busy, stressed & are schedules are too full we cut back on rest
why rest?
relaxation:an opportunity to reduce tension and anxiety by having a slower pace & incorporating a sense of joy into our lives

renewal:finding meaning through purpose or contribution—inner self needs exercise & rest
