Definition-: Facebook is a social networking site that helps users stay in touch with friends and relatives across the world. Users sign up for a free account and can post status updates, photographs, videos which can be seen by friends. Privacy is always been an important feature for the Facebook platform and has privacy settings that can be adjusted from within the account ranging from only friends seeing information to having a totally public profile. Facebook users can therefore control the information that they share and who they wish to share with it

Characteristics of

1 -Graph SearchFacebook Graph Search allows users to search within their network of friends for answers to natural language questions such as, "Movies my friends who like The Hobbit

liked" and receive direct answers.

2-Facebook Live live streaming video channel

that is intended to keep Facebook users updated to what is happening on the social networking site

3 -Networks, groups, and pagesFacebook allows different networks and groups which many users can join. Groups are used for discussions, events, etc. and are a way of enabling a number of people to come together online to share information and discuss specific subject

4 -Notifications

Notifications are what inform the user that an addition has been added to his or her

profile page.

5 -Chat

Users may chat with their Facebook friends on a one-to-one basis, or a user may chat with multiple friends simultaneously through the groups feature

6 -Friending

Friending someone is the act of sending another user a friend request on Facebook

7 -LikeDescribed by Facebook as a way to "give positive feedback and connect with things you care about" users can "like" status updates, comments, photos, and links posted by their friends, as

well as adverts.
