DEAR FRIENDS, The past year was one of exciting growth and development for Face It TOGETHER Sioux Falls, marked by new changes and key milestones.

In late 2014 we fully transitioned back to a community Board of Directors, and we’re thrilled to benefit from their expertise, commitment and passion.

We also moved into our groundbreaking new facility in south Sioux Falls, which more than doubled our square footage and allows us to better serve the community. More than anything, the new space reflects our strong commitment to serving clients in an environment of dignity and respect.

Our Employer Initiative continued to expand in 2014 to 33 partners in the Sioux Empire representing a wide range of industries. We also created a new position, Director of Partner Relations, to focus on making this unique initiative even stronger in workplaces across the community.

We also worked with the State of South Dakota to train eight Prevention Resource Specialists as recovery coaches and recovery coach trainers to bring support to other areas of the state.

This was our second year as a Partner Agency with the Sioux Empire United Way, an opportunity that links us to other community agencies and challenges us to continue innovating and improving on how to best measure our outcomes.

Perhaps our biggest news of 2014 was winning a Bush Foundation Prize for Community Innovation. The Bush Prize honors and supports organizations with a proven record of creating innovative solutions to address a key community challenge. We couldn’t have done it without your support.

The year ahead holds much promise and we look forward to continuing our work to get drug and alcohol addiction sufferers well.

With gratitude,

Julie Schoolmeester Greg SandsExecutive Director! ! ! Board Chair

Through the initial round of training, where we really focused on de-stigmatizing addiction and making it okay for people to come forward to get help...we have many many stories of changed lives, changed families and people that are more productive on the job, less absenteeism, didn’t turnover and are making a much larger contribution to Raven.”
