Introduction to Textile.
A textile is a cloth, which is either woven by hand ormachine.
"Textile" has traditionally meant, "a woven fabric". The term comes from the Latin word texere, meaning to weave. Textiles are formed
by weaving, knitting, crocheting, knotting, or pressingfibres together (felt).
Textiles are often associated with the production ofclothing.
Types of textiles include animal-based material such as wool or silk, plant-based material such as linen and cotton, and jute, synthetic material such as polyester, acrylic and rayon.
