Fabrication Facilities

A HEEREMA COMPANY

heerema fabrication group

Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG) owns three large fabrication locations situated around the North Sea and a fabrication workshop facility in Poland, serving clients in energy-related industries with a focus on oil and gas.

All locations in the Netherlands (Zwijndrecht and Vlissingen), the United Kingdom (Hartlepool) and in Poland (Opole) are ideally situated and have large, covered modern halls for prefabrication, assembly and other services. The indoor fabrication halls are among Europe’s largest and are equipped to handle several large projects simultaneously.

HFG specializes in the engineering and fabrication of large and complex structures, mainly for the offshore oil and gas and wind industry. HFG offers a comprehensive range of services, including concept design, front-end engineering, detailed design, procurement, project management, construction, transport and installation, hook-up and commissioning. More than 80% of the platforms on the Dutch Continental Shelf have been fabricated by HFG.

The hundreds of offshore structures built by HFG include bridges, jackets and piles, modules and totally integrated decks for many leading oil and gas companies. It has also delivered onshore modules for refineries, (petro)chemical plants and power stations. For the offshore wind market HFG focusses on topsides and jackets for HVDC / AC platforms. Together with its Innovation Center, HFG aims to serve its clients with innovative, cost-effective and high-quality engineering and fabrication solutions, with strong EPC(I) management capabilities.

Quality performance, safety, occupational health and environmental protection are core to our culture and at the heart of each employee. We are committed to an incident and injury free fabrication environment and the continual improvement of quality, safety, health and the environment. In addition, benchmarking and improvement of the management systems is ensured by the CHEQSERT system. CHEQSERT is a HFG customized assessment protocol which covers a framework of controls that together drive QSHE performance and the continual improvements of the HFG locations. CHEQSERT audits are carried out yearly in partnership with DNV GL to ensure maintenance of the HFG multi-site certification to ISO 9001, ISO 3834-2, EN 1090-1, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
