Assembly Instructions:1) Place one 2-3/8" Fabric J square on top of one 2-3/8" Fabric I square, right side together. Draw a line across the diagonal of the top square (Fig. 1). Sew ¼” away from each side of the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 1). Cut the two squares apart on the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 2) to make two half-square triangles (Fig. 3).2) Repeat Step 1 to make twelve J/I half-square triangles, sixteen J/G half-square triangles, four F/I half-square triangles, eight F/G half-square triangles, eight K/J half-square triangles and twelve F/K half-square triangles.3) Refer to the Block One Layout to make four 9-1/2" corner basket blocks.4) Refer to Block Two Layout to make four 9-1/2" Block Two squares. Refer to Block Three Layout to make eight 9-1/2" Block Three squares.

5) Place one 2-1/2" Fabric A square on the left side of one 2-1/2" x 7-1/2" Fabric B strip, right sides together (Fig. 4). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (fig. 4). Flip open the triangle formed and press (fig. 5). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle leaving a 1/4“ seam allowance.6) Place another 2-1/2" Fabric A square on the right side of the 2-1/2" x 7-1/2" Fabric B strip, right sides together (Fig. 6). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (fig. 6). Flip open the triangle formed and press (fig. 7). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle leaving a 1/4“ seam allowance to make the basket base.

Sub-cut into two 8-1/2" x 10-1/2" strips and one 5-1/2" x 23-1/2" strip. • Cut one 7-1/2" x 42" strip. Sub-cut into two 3-1/2" x 7-1/2" strips, two 3-1/2" x 4-1/2" strips, four 3-1/2" squares and two 2-1/2" squares. • Cut one 2-1/2" x 8-1/2" strip. Sub-cut into two 2-1/2" x 8-1/2" and two 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" strips. Fabric B: 5/8 yard of AJA 11814-220 • Cut one 3-1/2" x 42" strip. Sub-cut into one 3-1/2" x 9-1/2" and one 3-1/2" x 8-1/2" strip. • Cut one 2-1/2" x 42" strip. Sub-cut into one 2-1/2" x 17-1/2" and one 2-1/2" x 7-1/2" strip. • Cut six 1-1/2" x 42" strips. Piece the strips into two 1-1/2" x 51-1/2" strips and two 1-1/2" x 49-1/2" strips for Border #2. Fabric C: 1/4 yard of AJA 11832-192 • Cut one 3-1/2" x 15-1/2" strip.Fabric D: 1/3 yard of AJA 11832-23 • Cut three 2" x 42" strips. Sub-cut into forty-eight 2" squares. • See instructions to cut four pansies.Fabric E: 7/8 yard of AJA 11832-220 • Cut three 2" x 42" strips. Sub-cut into forty-eight 2" squares. • Cut six 2-1/2" x 42" strips for the binding • See instructions to cut four pansies.Fabric F: 1/4 yard of AJA 11813-192 • Cut one 2-3/8" x 42" strip. Sub-cut the strip into twelve 2-3/8" squares. • See instructions to cut five pansies.Fabric G: 1/4 yard of AJA 11811-192 • Cut one 3-1/2" x 42" strip. Sub-cut the strip into four 3-1/2" squares. • Cut one 2-3/8" x 42" strip. Sub-cut the strip into twelve 2-3/8" squares. • See instructions to cut ten pansies.Fabric H: 1-1/3 yards of AJA 11810-220 • Cut one 3-1/2" x 42" strip. Sub-cut the strip into eight 3-1/2" squares. • Cut seven 5-1/2" x 42" strips. Piece the strips together to make two 5-1/2" x 61-1/2" and two 5-1/2" x 51-1/2" strips for Border #3.Fabric I: 1/4 yard of AJA 11810-2 • Cut one 2-3/8" x 42" strip. Sub-cut the strip into eight 2-3/8" squares.Fabric J:1-1/2 yards of AJA-11814-192 • Cut three 3-1/2" x 42" strips. Sub-cut the strips into forty-eight 2" x 3-1/2" strips. • Cut three 6-1/2" x 42" strips. Sub-cut the strips into forty-eight 2" x 6-1/2" strips. • Cut two 2-3/8" x 42" strips. Sub-cut the strips into eighteen 2-3/8" squares. • Cut one 9-1/2" x 42" strip. Sub-cut the strip into four 2" x 9-1/2" strips, four 2" x 8" strips, eight 2" x 5" strips and four 2" squares.Fabric K: 1/4 yard of AJA 11832-63 • Cut two 2-3/8" x 42" strip. Sub-cut the strips into ten 2-3/8" and twelve 2" squares.Fabric L: 1 yard of AJA 11812-192 • Cut two 2-1/2" x 27-1/2" strips and two 2-1/2" x 23-1/2" strips for the center border. • Cut six 2-1/2" x 42" strips. Piece the strips together to make two 2-1/2" x 49-1/2" strips and two 2-1/2" x 45-1/2" strips for Border #1. Backing: 3-1/2 yards of your choice • Cut two 69" x 42" strips. Piece the strips together to make one 69" square.Fusible Web: 1/2 yard

Assembly Instructions:7) Repeat Steps 5 and 6 with two 3-1/2" Fabric A squares and one 3-1/2" x 9-1/2" Fabric B strip and with two 3-1/2" Fabric A squares and one 3-1/2" x 15-1/2" Fabric C strip to make strips for the basket.8) Refer to the Center Block Layout to make the center basket. 9) Following the manufacturer's instructions to trace twenty-four pansies on the paper side. Cut out each shape outside the drawn lines and press to the back side of the fabrics as listed in the cutting instructions. Cut each pansy out on the drawn lines. Refer to the quilt photo to fuse the pansies to the center block. Finish the raw edges with a decorative stitch such as a satin or buttonhole stitch.10) Sew one 2-1/2" x 23-1/2" Fabric L strip to each side of the center basket block. Sew one 2-1/2" x 27-1/2" Fabric L strip to the top and bottom of the center block to make the quilt top.11) Sew one Block Three square to the top and bottom of one Block Two square to make one side border. Repeat to make a second side border. Sew the borders to the quilt top.12) Sew one Block Three square to the top and bottom of one Block Two to make the top border. Repeat to make the bottom border. Refer to the quilt photo for block orientation and sew one Corner Basket block on each side of the sewn strips to complete the top and bottom borders. Sew the borders to the quilt top.13) Sew one 2-1/2" x 45-1/2" Fabric L strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew one 2-1/2" x 49-1/2" Fabric L strip to the top and bottom of the quilt top.14) Sew one 1-1/2" x 49-1/2" Fabric B strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew one 1-1/2" x 51-1/2" Fabric B strip to the top and bottom of the quilt top.15) Sew one 5-1/2" x 51-1/2" Fabric H strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew one 5-1/2" x 61-1/2" Fabric H strip to the top and bottom of the quilt top.16) Layer, quilt and bind as desired.
