    It seems as if every time we s tarted to put out this long-delayed letter that i twould snow and thus instead of writing a letter we would be outside trying to openthiTigs up. We thought we were well along with the snow removal and then last week wehad two very large snow storms and low _temperature so the snow didn't melt very wel l,But with warmer weather recently we have beenable to get rid of a lot snow. The snow banks TJi Wfc--in f ront of the house and church were over s ix 'feet tall when we started and as of today they .^ Wkare down to about a couple of feet. We hope tohave a l l of the snow off and the sidewalks dried ....before Resurrection Sunday, I t looks l ike weWe will try to bring you up to date on some of mfour activities since September. From Sunday, jB?September 22, a l l day Monday (a na t iona lholiday), through Tuesday noon we had a retreata t the camp s i te a t Doya Town. But the f i r s tweek of January is one time of yearwhen no one is working. Therefore,on January f i r s t the Chris t ians ando th e r s t h a t were i n t e r e s t ed mettogether fo r a t ime of study andfel lowship. At noon we had a mealof sweetened beans with poundedr i ce cakes, ( I t rea l ly i s be t t e rthan it sounds.) After lunch therewas f ree t ime. Some played Biblere la ted games, some vis i ted , somed i scussed th e Bib le .

    ^ ^ ^ December Ernest had a telephone^ ca l l from a young man who said t ha the wanted to come to church fo r aRBIREAT AT CAMP SITSI time of discussion. He was havingsome p r ob l ems and his mo t h e rtold him. Why don t you go to churchs They will listen to you there." He came twoor three times and during one of these t imes Ernes t suggested that he come toChristmas Eve service. He came and on the first Sunday of January he made the goodconfession and was baptized into Christ. Just recently Mr. Yato graduated fromcollege and in i^ril will begin working for a food chain here in the city.

    On February 23rd there was a baptism at the Christian Church in Hill City, Kansas,when our f irst grandchild was baptized into Christ. We rejoice to see thegrandchildren following the Lord. We hope and pray that all our grandchildren willmake t h i s cho ice .Many o f our suppor ters know t h a t we have two Ksons living in the Ohio/Kentucky disaster area. I IAllan lives in Covington, Kentucky, and Donald I Iin Cincinnati, Chio. Since they both live up "l hills their families were safe. For this we \thank t he lo rd , Allan, since he is an insurance Hadjuster, will be quite busy for a while. The exchange rate forfunds tha t jus t recent ly arrived was 176 to adollar. Last year we were getting 240. That*sa 27% decrease and with inflation i t costs even MR.
