window inspiration

what’s the story?Inspired by BMX bike and skate board parks, the MBMJ Fall 2014 windows feature modular plywood ramps. The Fall 2014 season imparts one key message of an irreverent tribe of youthful cool-girls, and the MBMJ fashion show set and the seasonal NY showroom installation reflected this spirit as well. The ramp comes in modular pieces which can form a full ‘C’ shape, or be broken down into smaller pieces to accomodate a variation of window sizes. For the midway ‘refresh’, the edges will be finished in a bold color, which presents a dynamic contrast to the raw wood and echoes a main color story within the collection. Product from the key show families will be displayed within the twists and turns, and will create a high impact moment for all viewers.

NOTES ON ORDERING AND INSTALLATION:

• Please refer to following pages on how many ramp pieces you should employ based on window size • You will have the option of ordering pieces B and C with either shelves or magnets. Shelves should always be selected when forming a full size ramp, and magnets are to be used when a smaller ramp is formed in an ACC only window • Please refer to page 6 for instructions for shorter windows (under 96”/2348mm in height) • One mannequin may stand on each Piece A • Ramp will be boxed and delivered by individual piece, to be easily assembled using modual metal poles that support from the inside up (included in kit) • Podiums for ACC will need to be produced locally (sample of wood to be provided; specs on page 7) • No hanging support necessary • Do not lean mannequins against ramp • Do not stand on any portion of the ramp- piece A is intended to hold a mannequin, not the weight of a person

TIMEFRAME & PRODUCT:

• This installation should occur from August 1-10 and will run through early November with a refresh middle of September• Utilize August/September/October key product (RTW, Handbags, shoes) in the display- please expect an addendum document to arrive in May regarding precise product merchandising guidelines.

This new section of the seasonal directive illustrates the flow of product in various stores.

Every size of store and every region is represented in the floorplans chosen. Each

floorplan has been zoned by store traffic and has been color-coded by importance.

The colors on the floorplans are correlated with a specific product delivery, outlined in

the key on the top left side of each page and pictured next to each respective zone.
