This zany comedy by Ron Hutchinson, about the writing of the script for Gone With the Wind, is sure to be a fun relief for those winter blahs. Legendary film producer David O. Selznick (m. James Foust) is five weeks into shooting Gone With the Wind when he realizes the script is awful and the director doesn’t have a clue. He has five days to replace them and restart the shoot or the production shuts down. Selznick calls Victor Fleming (Marty Williams) from the set of The Wizard to Oz to direct, and he taps legendary playwright, screenwriter and “script doctor” Ben Hecht (Edd Griswold) to rewrite the script. There’s only one problem Hecht hasn’t read the book. Over the course of five madcap days, the three men, assisted by Selznick’s assistant, Miss Poppenghul (Cathy Williams), frantically craft one of the most beloved screenplays of all time, as Selznick and Fleming act out the book for Hecht and the phone rings off the hook with calls from the likes of Vivien Leigh, Louis B. Mayer and Ed Sullivan. Findlay Light Opera Company Announces Next Production Back by popular demand, this original production is the follow up to FLOC’s one-night-only, sold-out original musical

comedy A Dating Game: The Musical Pursuit of Love performed last year. A new, but just as quirky, group of Gilbert & Sullivan characters are at it again, desperately, musically, searching for true love. What could be more fun than the tacky suits and velvet curtains of a campy 70s game show coupled with the preposterous theatrics of light opera? There’s only one way to find out! Plus, there will once again be dessert! A Dating Game: Season Two will be held in the First Presbyterian Church Great Room on February 7 and 8 at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale now via the Arts Partnership box office (419-422-4624) and are $10 each. Discounted tickets for a table of 8 are only $60. Did we mention there will be dessert?

If you are interested in working on a technical committee for this show, please contact the producer, Samantha Henry, at [email protected]. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Arts Partnership box office Monday through Friday (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.) at 419-422-4624 or going directly to the Arts Partnership at 619 South Main Street. Benefactors may make ticket arrangements beginning Monday, February 10; Angels on Tuesday, February 11 and Patrons and Single Patrons on Wednesday, February 12. General public tickets are $12 and go on sale February 17. Presented through special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Moonlight and Magnolias will run February 27 – March 2 and March 6 - 8 at the playhouse. The Sunday performance begins at 5 p.m., all other performances begin at 8 p.m. The house opens 30 minutes prior to the performance.

Wedding Bells Rang in Las Vegas Congratulations to Tara Laciano and Kyle Slagley, who were united in marriage in a small, intimate, afternoon ceremony on December 28, 2013. They were married by Rev. Tim Rowland at The Little Church of the West in Las Vegas, Nevada, with several family members in attendance. Later that evening they enjoyed a dinner at Buca di Beppo in the Excalibur hotel. Since neither wanted a big, elaborate wedding and had wanted to go to Vegas for a while, it seemed a

perfect fit. Tara’s first production at FFP was It’s a Wonderful Life (2009) and Kyle’s was the 2011 production of Escanaba in Da Moonlight. They met in the spring of 2011, but really got to know each other later that year when they worked together on I Hate Hamlet. To view a video of the wedding, go to: www.littlechurchlv.com/webcam_videos/kyle-slagley-tara-laciano/, but check it out now, its only up for about 30 days from the wedding date. Tara and Kyle would like to thank everyone for their well-wishes and support and they feel very fortunate to have such a supportive group of friends.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Leaving Iowa Front to back (L-R): Lindsay Taylor, Pete Rose, Julie Lane, Patrick Davis, Jim Toth, Lori Foster, Alicia Creger,

Mark Thomas, m. James Foust, George Rustemeyer, John Garner, Brad Garner, Richelle Reynolds and Kathy Hinton
