THE AIR & FUN IS AT THE CLUB! Pool days may be over, but there is much fun & Fall festivities

still ahead at the Club. Fall is the perfect time to hit the golf

course with crisp, cool days and beautiful fall foliage all around.

As well, Fall is a great time at the Clubhouse. So sport those

new sweaters and boots and enjoy a great lunch or dinner,

indoors or out. Maybe even watch a few football games while

you’re here. Whatever your choice, the Club is where to be!

FROM THE CLUBHOUSE The Food and Beverage staff was extremely busy during

the month of August! Thank you so much for your

patronage.

We had several golf banquets, reunions, catered events

and birthday parties throughout the month.

As summer winds down and we move into fall, you can

look forward to daily homemade soups and Friday night

parties out by the fire pit!

Be sure to keep us in mind for all of your tailgating needs

and plan to enjoy the football games in the grill room with

us. Saturday, September 28th we will be having a club

party That's Country Bro/Followed by Disco.

6:30pm Hors d'oeuvres/7:30 Dinner. Please make

reservations. More details to follow.

Congrats to our member Ricky Johnson who made a

Hole In One! on #16 during the Salem University Golf Outing on August 5th

Please make your Tee-Times for Weekend Play. Call the golf shop on Thursday to reserve a tee-time. You

must have at least 3 players to make tee-time before 10:30 on weekends and holidays.

Please do your part to take care of the golf course. Please fix ball marks, replace divots, rake sand traps and

keep trash off of the course. Please keep golf carts 20 yards from greens and on paths around all tee-boxes.

With your help we can keep our golf course in great shape for the fall season.

September Golf Outings:

IOGA- Friday, September 13th. Golf Course will be closed

until evening.

WVGA Senior Event- Wednesday, September

18th. Golf Course will be open at 11:00am.

BCC WOMEN’S

GOLF ASSOCIATION

Looking forward to our summer schedule, we

will continue ladies golf on Tuesday mornings

but beginning in September, our starting time is

10:00. The club will be closed the first Tuesday

in September, so we will have ladies day on

Wednesday, September 4 at 10:00 a.m. for the

first week

Our Saturday play scheduled dates for the

month of September are September 8 and 22

beginning around 10 am. Get yourself a group

together or just come out and form a group.

Call the pro shop to set up a tee time on

Saturday play days. This is an opportunity for

those of you who work to play on Saturdays

with the women golfers of BCC.

Our handicap tournament has begun. If you

signed up to play, please check the

tournament paper in the ladies locker room.

Surviving the first round competition either

by forfeiture , victory or bye were Caroline

Ramsey, Cindy Davis, Haeley Harman,

Gloria Hawkins, Mary Ann Renzelli, Karen

Sutton, Kathy George and Robin Ward. If

you moved on to the second round, please

check the board in the locker room and

contact your next opponent. The second

round matches should be completed by

Saturday, August 31st.

Championship weekend took place on August 17th and 18th. Caroline and Lauren Ramsey

played the two day tournament to a tie at 171. After a one hole playoff, Caroline again

claimed the club championship. Others participating were Haeley Harman, Robin Ward,

Kathy George and Marra Johnson.

On October 1st, we will have our annual 9-hole event, luncheon, awards and election of

officers beginning at 10:00 a.m. There will be a sign up sheet in the ladies locker room

beginning in mid-September for those who wish to join us.

Invitational on Wednesday, September 25th. This is a

9am Shotgun including 18 holes of golf, food and prizes.

Proceeds from the event will benefit "Operation Firm

Handshake" Veterans of WV. A non-profit veteran's charity organization.

Sign up in the Hallway to participate. Donations would be welcomed and appreciated.
