The duration of the academic year in at Russian state universities is 10 months (from September, 1 till June, 30). The set of documents necessary to start your application for admission in Russian state universities includes:

A passport A senior Secondary School Certificate with transcript, a Bachelor's/Master's Degree with transcripts (if available) for postgraduate studies A health certificate and AIDS/HIV certificate 12 photos (3x4 cm). The confirmation of student's admission (quota) by the University takes up to 5 days. It takes around 35 to 45 days to proceed the official invitation letter for studies in the Department of Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation. Upon arrival to the university the student is obliged to obtain «The certificate of Equivalence» of educational documents in ROSOBRNADZOR of the Russian Federation during first year of studies at his/her own expenses.

Upon completion of any Russian state university, the graduate receives a higher education Degree of Russian National Standard confirming obtaining by its holder of higher education indicating the degree/qualification and speciality. The graduate also gets an additional document upon request - to the degree. This allows its holder to gett equivalence to educational documents in any of 47 European and other countries signed up to the Bologna Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications Concerning Higher Education in order to further education or get a prestigious job in these countries.
