Cinema São JorgeCreated in 1950, at that time in twenty rst century it was set about with

necessary commemorative nature the restoration of the central focus of the

cultural activities of the Portuguese capital, where the evolvement of classical

Internacional was chosen, with the aim of research of an aesthetic solution

warm tones chosen for the used textures, bringing out the used wood, very

valued for its natural beauty, the same as velvet which nishes o and holds sway

Baltico model is produced with the highest

quality standards demanded by the current

ground rules, showing as a suitable armchair

First time you pass in the auditoriumof the Philharmonic of Krasnoyarsk city,located in the Centre-South of Russia, youhave the impression of being in one of the

best and more multifunctional complexesthat can be in this country. Krasnoyarsk,where the climate gives utterance to withsnappishness, the building is a refuge of culture and entertainment where the bigconcert hall, a smaller chamber hall, musichall, everything equipped with the bestreferences in image and sound.

In a natural evolution of our Feupmodel, is precisely with this armchairwhich was installed in the Philharmonic,with subtle variants in the sides andarmrests pieces, but keeping the comfortand lightness of the armchair, to theirlinking. Feup is an armchair of lightshapes, specially endowed for servingin surroundings with a lot of acoustic

requirements, having the option of beingreinforced by special acoustic laminated

The modernization of the main auditorium of Castellar del Valles has to do with the geometry ina regular hall where the octagonal layout of theequipment is not displayed as the best, but theunique. In the ushers’ arrangement, anked bythe original factory pillars, the area demanded anarmchair with hard lines without being unworthyof the comfort for the future audience. In a hallwhere it is combined the materials light in thedierent planes of it, the armchair Yuso was chosenby the ownership for the main hall. An armchairreference of hard and angular lines to which dierentcomponents summed for a complete tting to thearea, amongst them an acoustic seat panel, thenecessary adjustment of shapes in superior parts,and the colour outlines choice applies an unabashed

touch to the hall. All in an auditorium which seeksprogress in functionability without loosing seatcapacity.

Kuala Lumpur National Theatre

Our purpose upon tackling the immense challenge of supplying the armchairs for the

National Theatre of Kuala Lumpur was to collaborate in the creation of a unique

ambience, where we were able to bedeck the main hall with an armchair really dierent,original and appealing, in accord basically to the light of the building, which as such

uplifting, required that all was faultlessly integrated.

Discarding all previous existing catalogue, in Ezcaray Internacional we decided to

start from scratch designing a new armchair that was called Malasia, as it should be such

a way. A new concept to apply to a polished interior design which upholds much more

than a simple theatre. A double work consists in purposefulness of the space challenges

that they confronted in the hall, specially the slope of the oor, or the adjustment of the

air conditioning in the dierent areas demanded in the armchairs. It attains the total

fullment of our clients’ needs, creating an architectural element, with a careinstallation, is shown as an annex to the own service that the auditorium renders in each

of its oors.

A specic design, with casual shapes which confers the armchair a sensing of

virtual progress. Also the ergonomic foam blocks where the seat usher and the oor

demands, specially designed to accomplish the best isoptic. Special attention was

required to encounter a solution for the desired indirect air-conditioning, which is

resolved with the production of an elaborate and dicult component that is used for

it, besides assisting in the necessary xation of the armchair.
