Term 1- Welcome Welcome Term 2– Once Upon a Time Term 3- Super Me
EAD: Exploring different media, looking at artist Vincent Van Gough, Portraits, music learning and
reciting simple songs, learning sounds and names of percussion, role play
PD: Write Dance, playdough disco, fine motor control activities, outdoor area
CLL: reading new and familiar stories, using imagination to make up stories, listen to stories,
MD: counting songs and rhymes, 1:1 correspondence, counting fixed and moveable objects.
PSED: Finding out about our likes and dislikes, families, birthdays, homes, pets and feelings about
school. RE: Which people are special and why? Reading
stories from the bible, looking at what Christianity and Sikhism are.

EAD: creating our own superhero outfits using different media and materials. Listening to popular
culture music relating to our favourite super heroes. Making their own super hero anthem.
PD: Moving and balancing in different ways on both the floor and apparatus.
CLL: reading new and familiar stories, writing speech bubbles, using imagination to role play and write our
own stories MD: number recognition, adding, subtracting,
length, capacity and problem solving. PSED: Learning about how to keep ourselves healthy and making healthy food choices. Working as a team.

Term 4- A Bug’s Life Term 5- Hocus Pocus Term 6- Taking Flight
EAD: Creating their own bugs and habitats for them to live in using a mixture of junk and natural
materials. PD: Jumping, running, hopping both on and off of apparatus, parachute games, working as a team.
CLL: using imagination to role play and write our own stories, writing facts, exploring nonfiction books MD: estimation, 3D shape, addition, counting,
subtraction, time PSED: Learning how to behave and care for
different environments and living things. RE: Where do we belong?
UTW: Exploring outdoor area and the creatures we can find, sorting and classifying them, using
microscopes
EAD: Colour mixing to create their own potions. Tie-dying to explore how different media effect materials.
PD: Team games and ball skills CLL: writing a diary, writing facts, reading nonfiction books, using imagination to role play and write our own
stories, writing our own spells MD: doubling, problem solving, halving, Counting
forwards and backwards, number recognition, addition and subtraction,
PSED: Setting achievable goals that involve the children setting challenges and striving to achieve
