Can you explain how many sides and corners they have? Fun activity – Cut out the 2D shapes carefully. Can you use the shapes to create the story of Hickory Dickory Dock? Don’t change the shapes even for the mouse, you could change the size.

Phonics Recap all the sounds, green words, red words. Try spelling as many red words as you can from memory. Ensure child is spelling red words from memory, shout some out e.g. go, to, the, into, he, she, then child to spell. Reading captions. Have a go at reading these captions. Point to each sound (segmenting) then say the whole word this is called blending. Can you then try and read the words as a whole sentence?
