Dear WCHA & College Hockey Fans,

We are thrilled to again be bringing college hockey’s premier post-season tournament, the Red Baron™ WCHA Final Five, back to the spectacular Xcel Energy Center in March of 2013.

This will mark the 13th consecutive season we have held our championship at Xcel Energy Center and we are working diligently to ensure this will be the best one yet. Our successful and on-going partnership with Xcel Energy Center and the NHL’s Minnesota Wild, combined with your enthusiastic support and the wonderfully

welcoming City of Saint Paul, has made this showcase event an annual pilgrimage for hockey fans of all ages and you a true MVP(most valuable participant).

The arrival of the new season brings with it a great deal of anticipation and across the board, the WCHA promises to be ultra-competitive as teams battle each other over a 168-game conference slate to set the stage for another tremendous Red Baron™ WCHA Final Five. This season’s March 21-23 tournament will again feature the six-team, five game format that debuted a year ago, culminating with the Broadmoor Trophy championship contest on Saturday night.

Please make your plans today to again be part of this truly magnificent weekend of college hockey. From great rivalries, fanatic jersey-clad fans, the fun-filled Fan Fest and Dance Mania to three days of end-to-end action, pep bands and fight songs, dining at great restaurants and seeing old friends, the Red Baron™ WCHA Final Five is indeed the place to be.

Please plan to be part of our flagship event in March of 2013. In 2014, the new Big Ten conference holds its inaugural championship at Xcel Energy Center, and then be ready for another scintillating WCHA Final Five in March 2015 when the WCHA Conference Championship returns to Saint Paul.

Warmest Regards,Bruce M. McLeod, WCHA Commissioner
