External Funds Transfer - Table of Contents
This guide covers topics related to External Funds Transfer. For quick access to a specific topic, select one of the following:

Account Eligibility & Registration
For your security, LegacyTexas will verify the personal information entered in the registration form to ensure that the
request for the service was initiated by an authorized signer. A maximum of five (5) external deposit accounts can be
added to the service. In addition, all active LegacyTexas accounts will auto-enable for External Transfer service.
The following accounts are not eligible for this service:
• Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)
• Custodial and/or Trust Accounts
• Business Accounts
• Certificate of Deposits (CDs) or other time-based accounts
• Loan Accounts (including credit card and equity accounts)

Brokerage Institution Restrictions
While most other financial instructions are accepted for use with the External Transfer service; the system does have
a list of restricted brokerage accounts. You may only add brokerage accounts from companies included in the list
below:
• Raymond James
• Wells Fargo Advisors’
• Ameriprise Financial
• Charles Schwab
• E*Trade
• Fidelity
All other brokerage account companies may not function for external transfer use.
• Merrill Lynch
• Scottrade
• Smith Barney
• TD Ameritrade
• Morgan Stanley Brokerage
• US Bank
• Principal Funds Money Market

Add Account
• Hover over Move Money and select External Transfer.
• In the green menu bar select Settings then Accounts.
• Select Add a New Account.
• Select the Account Type from the drop-down menu.
• Enter the account details as seen to the right
Note: Once an account number has been added it cannot
be modified. The only edit allowed is the Nickname.

Add Account – Verification Options
Instant Verification
Enter the username and password of the external bank account.
Micro-Deposit Verification
Alternatively, select the link in the gray box to conduct micro-
deposit verification to confirm account ownership
This verification option can take 1-2 business days.
Follow the steps provided in the email sent to your inbox on how
to finalize verification.

Add Account - Micro-Deposit Verification
• Hover over Move Money and select External Transfer.
• In the green menu bar select Settings then Accounts.
• Select the blue arrow to the left of the account then select
Activate Now.
• Enter the two micro-deposits that were credited to your
external account into the spaces provided.
• Select Activate.

Personal Online BankingExternal Transfer – Delete Account
Delete Account
Hover over Move Money and select External Transfer.
In the green menu bar select Settings then Accounts.
Select the blue arrow to the left of the account then select Delete
Account.
A pop up will appear to confirm the account deletion. Select Yes,
Delete.
