The lighting levels within the carpark have been calculated in accordance with the requirements of AS1158.3.1.
The results are summarised below.
The building entry lobby fronting Prince Street will be lit with direct downlights with minimal spill light and is
not expected to impact surrounding properties.

Obtrusive light has been calculated at the boundaries of neighbouring properties. These results have been
calculated in accordance with the requirements of AS4282 for a residential area with dark surrounds. The limits
prescribed by AS4282 are summarised below:

As the above tables demonstrate, the external illumination of the proposed building and its grounds (including
the multi-deck and ground level carparks) will comply with relevant Australian Standards for a medium-
trafficked facility in a residential area. Importantly, external carpark lighting has been carefully selected to
provide a safe environment for its users but also to shed light downward, so that the spread of illuminance is
confined substantially within the site confines. The amount of light spilling on neighbouring residential
properties will be minimal and will meet the most stringent requirement of the relevant Australian standard,
AS4282.
